Samsung Takes Fashion into the Future at 837
9/7/2016
As 6th Avenue prepares to host the crème de la crème of international fashion during New York Fashion Week, downtown at Samsung 837, the fusion of “un-fashion” and “un-retail” will take center stage.
From September 7-13, Samsung 837 will serve as a hub for connecting creators and their designs with audiences everywhere. Through the power of our technology, we’ll be taking people beyond the velvet ropes, giving them an unprecedented, immersive experience within a world that has historically only been accessible to a select few.
To help kick off our Fashion Week festivities, we’re bringing some of the biggest brands and personalities in fashion to Samsung 837, including: Kendall and Kylie Jenner from Keeping Up with the Kardashians, celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury, lifestyle brand Timo Weiland and street-gear retailer KITH.
From VR content to “see now, buy now” stations, Samsung will create a seamless integration of fashion and technology throughout the week—allowing us to innovate and elevate the concept of the Fashion Week experience.
“Fashion and technology are among the two passion points that excite our consumers the most—and there’s no better place to bring them together than Samsung 837,” said Zach Overton, Vice President and General Manager of Samsung 837. “We’re pleased that our space and technology will help democratize New York Fashion Week by making it accessible to a wider audience of enthusiasts across the country.”
As a proud partner of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Samsung is helping create new ways for designers and brands to reach untapped and influential audiences in bold, unique ways. Through our technology, we’re moving the fashion industry into the future—and creating new runways of shared experiences.
