At the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, the Victory Selfie Reaches a New Milestone
The Victory Selfie transformed medal celebrations through athletes’ self-captured images shared around the world, quickly becoming an iconic cultural moment across the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Now, it’s reached a new milestone as it returned to the Paralympic Winter Games.
For the first time at the Paralympic Games, the Victory Selfie expanded beyond individual and pair events to all events – including team competitions. Through the Victory Selfie, every medal-winning athlete has the opportunity to share their individual or team triumph from their own perspective. All Victory Selfies were shot with the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition[1].
Victory Selfie represents how the Paralympic Games continue to evolve – honouring tradition while embracing new ways to enhance athlete and fan experiences during the Paralympic Games.
The Victory Selfie reinforces a simple belief: athletes should be able to tell their own stories.
