Samsung Canada Introduces New Option for Screen Repair Service

New option for repair service will help to reduce harmful carbon emissions and offer customer cost effective screen repair

Today, Samsung Electronics Canada is pleased to announce the LCD Glass Panel Replacement Program, a new repair service that serves as a more environmentally conscious option for replacing LCD screens on select Samsung devices^[1]. The service will be available starting October 4, 2022.

The LCD Glass Panel Replacement program is the latest example of Samsung’s commitment to improve sustainability across all of its operations, products and services and offer customers a cost effective option for screen repair service.

Through this program, customers will receive high quality repair service that will replace a damaged LCD glass on their smartphone instead of having to replace the complete LCD module. This will help minimize the environmental impact of completing repairs as using fewer parts will help reduce carbon emissions through minimizing parts production. For now, the service will support customers with who own select Samsung Galaxy “S” and Note series devices. Samsung is looking to make this option available on more devices in the future.

Samsung is committed to providing choice and convenience for their customers, with repair pick-up service being available at a customer’s home or place of business at no extra cost. This service can also be facilitated through our Samsung Experience Stores, Exclusive Service Centres.
