Samsung Canada launches sign language interpretation service for Samsung.com/ca tech support

In partnership with Canadian Hearing Services, Inc. the new feature includes both English and French support with American Sign Language and Langue des Signes Québécoise

Samsung Electronics Canada Inc. announced today the launch of a new sign language interpretation service on its Samsung.com/ca technical support site, in partnership with Canadian Hearing Services, Inc. (CHS).

 

Now, with the support of CHS, Deaf Canadians looking for help with their Samsung devices can access one-on-one support from a professional trained in both English and French sign language standards – American Sign Language (ASL) or la Langue des Signes Québécoise (LSQ).

 

As a leader in technology and innovation, Samsung Canada believes in the power of technology to help enhance human connection and increase opportunity and access for all, which makes this new sign language translation service one of the company’s latest endeavours to provide accessibility features in all areas of the business.

The new feature is available on English and French Technical Support sites, is one of Canadian Hearing Services’ largest partnerships to date, in delivering accessible communication to Deaf Canadians, and will leverage Canadian Hearing Services’ 82+ years of experience in serving the accessibility needs of the Deaf and hard of hearing communities across Canada.

Sign Language Support allows visitors to connect over the standard “Chat Now” function with a Samsung Support technician who will facilitate further connection with a sign language interpreter.
