Samsung Canada Welcomes Newcomers to Canada with SmartStarts

SmartStarts supports Newcomers to Canada on their journey through connected technology and dedicated offers

Samsung Canada is proud to launch SmartStarts, a program to support Newcomers to Canada, including international students, workers, families, and individuals immigrating to the country, as they settle into their new country and new home.

Moving to Canada comes with many logistics, from finding new communities, to furnishing a new home, to seeking out new employment and adventures – all of which require significant decisions and new information. Through SmartStarts, Samsung Canada is committed to helping to make this process easier by connecting Newcomers to Canada with the right connected technology to meet their needs.

When Newcomers to Canada sign up for the SmartStarts program, they will qualify to receive exclusive offers, services, and information and resources to support their journey. As a welcome gift, Samsung Canada is offering all Newcomers* who sign up for the program $50 off** their first purchase on samsung.com/ca.

To register for SmartStarts, Newcomers to Canada can visit the Samsung Newcomers page. Once registered***, you will receive a $50 unique e-Voucher via email to go towards their first Samsung purchase. Additional details on offers and resources will be shared on the Samsung Newcomers page over the coming weeks.

* The SmartStarts program is available to anyone 18 years of age or older who is new to Canada and have spent not more than 5 years, including international students, workers, families, individuals immigrating to the country and even to individuals who became Canadian citizens during the period. To be eligible to participate, applicants must be in possession of one of the following documents issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada: a study permit, work permit, or permanent residence card (each an “IRCC Document”). The applicable IRCC Document must contain a valid issue date and cannot be expired.

**Terms and conditions apply. Must qualify as a “Newcomer” based on the terms of the SmartStarts program. Eligible Customers who received an E-voucher can save $50 off their total purchase price (before taxes) on their Online purchase of any eligible Samsung products made during the Offer Period. Redemption limit of one (1) E-Voucher per transaction. Minimum purchase of $300 required in order to be able to redeem the E-Voucher. E-Voucher is single use only, non-transferable, has no cash value, and is unique to each recipient.

*** As part of the eligibility validation process, applicants will be required to submit the following information to the Service Provider: Name, Email, Status (Student Permit, Work Permit, Permanent Resident), Length of time in Canada, Country of origin, and, A copy of their valid IRCC Document. Once applicants have (i) completed the registration process by answering a series of questions available at www.samsung.com/ca/campaign/newcomers/, (ii) received an email from SheerID Inc. (the “Service Provider”) confirming the verification process has been completed, AND (iii) received an email from Samsung containing the Offer details along with an e-voucher (the “E-Voucher”) during the Offer Period (“Eligible Customers”), they will receive an e-voucher as a welcome gift.
