Samsung Canada has officially launched the Annual Upgrade Program, a new direct-to-consumer purchasing option designed to make it easier and more affordable for customers to upgrade to the latest Galaxy devices on their own terms.

 

Now available nationwide, the Annual Upgrade Program gives customers the flexibility to upgrade their Galaxy smartphone every year or every two years by paying only a portion of the device’s value through simple monthly payments, without interest or fees.

 

A Smarter Way to Upgrade, Without the Carrier Commitment

The Annual Upgrade Program was created to reflect how Canadians upgrade their smartphones today, offering a more flexible and accessible way to move to a new Galaxy device when the time feels right.

 

By purchasing directly from Samsung, customers can now enjoy:

  • The freedom to bring their own data plan
  • Clear upgrade options at the end of each term

 

The program puts control in the hands of Galaxy owners, making it easier to decide when and how to upgrade, helping people stay connected with the latest technology.

 

How the Annual Upgrade Program Works

You can enroll in the Annual Upgrade Program[i] by i) having a valid Flexiti Card and ii) choosing the Annual Upgrade Program at the product page or at checkout of the eligible Galaxy Phone both online through Samsung.com or the Samsung Shop App. Financing is handled through Samsung’s trusted partner, Flexiti, so everything stays simple and secure.

 

Two flexible options are available, depending on upgrade preferences:

 

  • 12-Month Annual Upgrade Program – Pay 50% of the device’s price over 12 months, with the remaining 50% residual value deferred. Includes a bonus year of Samsung Care+ for added peace of mind. At the end of the term, customers have the choice to return the device to clear the balance, keep the device by paying the remainder, or trade it in for the latest Galaxy model.
  • 24-Month Annual Upgrade Program – Pay 65% of the device’s price over 24 months, with the remaining 35% deferred. Samsung Care+ can be added, and the same end-of-term options apply: return, keep, or upgrade.

 

Both plans feature no interest, no fees, and free return shipping when upgrading or sending a device back[ii].

[ii] For Quebec customers only, there is a mandatory requirement to make a 5% minimum monthly payment towards the deferred value of the phone. All payments made by customers towards your Galaxy Device’s deferred value will be returned via Electronic Fund Transfer (“EFT”) or credit on your Flexiti account in the event your Galaxy device is returned within the 90-day window. Alternatively, payments made towards your Galaxy Device’s deferred residual value can count toward the purchase price if you wish to keep your Galaxy Device at the end of your term.
