The engineering team at Samsung is especially proud of these numbers, especially after they had to test dozens of the monitors on a daily basis in a dark room in the hot summer.

The UD970 has a separate hardware calibration chipset that makes sure that it presents the same colors as appear in nature. In addition, every monitor has been calibrated in the factory individually and meticulously, correcting the uniformity, gamma, and gray scale in eight different color modes.

Moreover, the UD970 monitor makes it easy for users to adjust color modes or profiles. Accordingly, it uses Samsung’s developed color management software, Natural Color Expert V4 software. Thanks to this self-calibration software, the difference in color quality between a color and a reference color is very small, allowing the monitor to present the optimal color.

For the first time in the UHD monitor industry, the UD970 has been certified by many established international certification institutions including Underwriter’s Laboratories, (UL), TUV Rhienland, and Forga for its color performance.
