Samsung Electronics delivered a smart art experience to visitors of 2011 Nuit Blanche in Paris. Nuit Blanche celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, and since it’s inception it has become the largest cultural festival in Paris for artists, art-lovers, tourists, and Parisians.

Samsung Electronics was able to take part in the festival by using Smart TVs to enhance the visitor experience.  These Smart TVs displayed guides to the festival, as well as video clips from the exhibits at the main festival venues like Paris City Hall, Btiignolles and Montmartre.

Ten video projects were also introduced by using Samsung Smart TV, providing viewers an aesthetic experience through its cutting-edge visual technology.  Samsung also  came up with a smart phone app to help visitors enjoy the event by offering program schedules, location information, and so forth. The municipal officers used Samsung’s tablet PC Galaxy Tab to assist the guests in enjoying the festivities, too.

Throughout the festival, Samsung Electronics showed off works of installation art on a large scale in 2009 and 2010. The themes at that time were LED and 3D, respectively.

Nuit Blanche is such an important and exciting cultural event, and Samsung Electronics is happy to support the ever-present connection between technology and the arts.
