Yesterday we introduced you to some of Samsung’s extended family at CES 2012, so today we thought we’d explore a place for people to gather, relax, and refuel.

CES 2012 was packed to the brim with journalists, bloggers and experts from around the world.  Within this sea of humanity, we heard rumors of a place with super fast Wi-Fi, cold drinks and electric outlets; an oasis for bloggers!.  We decided we needed to find this place, so our search began!

Our mission led us to Samsung Smart Lounge, an oasis for bloggers!  Hanna Choi, who was in charge of the lounge, told us that with the ubiquity of Facebook, Twitter and other social media, “power-bloggers and tech journalists need a place to spread the information they gathered at CES.  So we decided to create somewhere they could do that.”

Within minutes of opening, the oasis was filled with bloggers and journalists from all over the globe.  We decided that as true journalists we needed to experience the lounge for ourselves.  The Wi-Fi signal was strong as could be, taking less than a second to connect.  Also available were chargers for any device that needed a quick pick-me-up, be it laptop, camera, camcorder, or cell phone.

With electric outlets everywhere, you could blog away at your leisure.

Blogging hard, you’re bound to need a little pick-me-up yourself.  Samsung Lounge also offered snacks and coffee for just those times!

The lounge was packed with over 60 people who enjoyed the facilities of the Samsung Lounge from open til close.

The Lounge also featured some of Samsung’s latest products, including the Series 5 and 7 laptops and even the Smart TV, which curious attendees tested out eagerly.  It appeared that bloggers had to be careful not to get too distracted by the amazing picture quality of the Smart TV.

The Samsung Smart Lounge also offered an interview area where we were able to talk to people from the media, such as Christina from the website Mashable.

SuYeoun: Nice to meet you! Could you introduce yourself?

Christina Warren: My name is Christina Warren from Mashable, a social media blog.  We try to explore the ways people use social media in their lives and introduce people to the latest technology.

SuYeoun: Did anything catch your eye at Samsung booth?

Christina Warren: The new OLED TV was really pretty.  And the ultrabook looked pretty slick too.

SuYeoun: How do you like the lounge?

Christina Warren: It’s great.  It’s a lot quieter than the pressroom and has a lot more outlets.  Not finding somewhere to plug in our laptops is always a problem.  The coffee’s good too!

In the interview area we also had a chance to speak with Edward Chester:

TaeWan: Tell us about yourself.

Edward Chester: I write for Trusted Reviews, a British tech magazine.  I’m reviewing some of the products unveiled at CES 2012.

TaeWan: Did you find anything uncomfortable at the Samsung Smart Lounge?

Edward Chester: Not at all.  I think it’s pretty nice.  It’s close to the booths and the Wi-Fi signal is really strong.  It’s hard to get a signal because there are too many people in other areas.  I’m enjoying the food too.

TaeWan: Would you like to say a word to the readers of Samsung Tomorrow?

Edward Chester: Happy New Years!

We hope you enjoyed our tour of the Samsung Smart Lounge as much as the CES attendees enjoyed using it!
