Famed Hungarian pianist and composer Balazs Havasi, held a unique concert in Budapest on December 3rd.  Instead of following typical sheet music, Havasi used the Samsung Galaxy Note to guide his piano playing.  It may be the first time such a well-known musician has used a smart device for this purpose, but since it worked so well, we wouldn’t be surprised if other musicians follow suit.

Havasi, the Guinness Book world record holder for the world’s fastest pianist, is famous for his creative and innovative fusion of pop and classical music and very highly-regarded in his native Hungary.  Thanks to Havasi’s popularity and interest in the Galaxy Note, the concert sold out in no time.

Havasi says he chose the Galaxy Note for this concert because of its generous 5.3 inch HD super AMOLED screen.  The size and brightness of this screen allow him to view an entire page of music, and see every note with clarity.  In addition to being a power-packed smart device, the Galaxy Note also features an “S Pen” for on-the-go note-taking, perfect for Havasi.

Samsung Electronics in Hungary deemed the concert a success and said “We were able to make this concert a reality thanks to the common goal of innovation shared by Samsung Electronics and Balazs Havasi,” and “we are delighted the Galaxy Note was able to play a part in this concert.”
