How-To Guide: ATIV Help App

We’ve all been there… feeling like our device is more sophisticated than we are, and not knowing how to use it to its full capacity. Who do you turn to for help? Well, if you’re a Samsung ATIV PC user, now you won’t need to bother your friends or trawl through messy and confusing online forums.

Samsung recently launched the ATIV Help app to answer questions you have about your PC quickly and correctly. This helpful app will enable you to get familiar with the features didn’t know about before. It also notifies you of important and relevant issues, which you can share instantly with your ATIV-using friends. So, how can you use this app efficiently?

How to Install

Installing the ATIV Help app is the same as installing any Samsung app on your Samsung smartphone. First, run GALAXY Apps or Google Play Store. Then type in “ATIV Help” on the search bar and tap the search icon. Once you have found ATIV Help from the search results, tap on install button. And you are set to go!

How to Register Your ATIV PC

Once you activate the app, a box will appear where you will type in the product model number of your ATIV PC. If you are not sure of the model number, tap the question mark icon and a list of model numbers will show up. After you have registered your product, you will be granted access to the information related to your product via the different “features” available. You don’t even have to register right away, but you can take care of this later by tapping the Register icon.

How to Use the Features Effectively

The ATIV Help App includes various features such as Help Video, ATIV FAQ, Simulator, Online Support, and more.

Help Video

Well, a video is worth a thousand words, isn’t it? Samsung provided 60 helpful videos that will guide you through using tons of ATIV features you didn’t even know about.  The content is easy to follow along with, and you can check them out anytime anywhere on your smartphone!

ATIV FAQ

You may have concerns that other Samsung ATIV PC users have asked before, and the ATIV FAQ is where all that info is stored. From the basic questions to advanced questions on using Windows 8 and 8.1 versions, you will be able to satisfy your curiosity with detailed answers. Many answers also provide “cautions” so that you solve your problem without causing a bigger one!

Smart Simulator

The Smart Simulator allows us to virtually experience various ATIV features easily. You can search for a certain feature and simulate it on your smartphone. Even first-time ATIV PC users will be able to do simulations from booting to restoring data. Isn’t that awesome?

Update News

Want to be the first to know when you can update the software of your ATIV PC? Well, you can, thanks to the ATIV Help App. This app provides detailed information on the latest updates of the software, graphic driver, BIOS (Basic Input Output System), and more periodically. If you don’t know which system or software to update, you can check out the list of updates. You can also bookmark the updates you want to keep for reference.

Others (Notice, Settings, Online Support)

Besides the features mentioned above, you can get notifications on important issues such as latest updates and Windows policy, set the alarm for notifications, and ask for support online via online chatting and remote service.
