Galaxy Note Edge Box

Life maybe like a box of chocolates and you may not know what you’re going to get. Ah, never mind, let’s cut the short-talk and unbox the Galaxy Note Edge already.

The Box

The box for the Galaxy Note Edge is as simple as it gets, just like the box for Galaxy Note 4. It is gray, made of 100% environment-friendly materials and 100% recyclable. However, instead of the number 4, you can see the fifth letter of the alphabet, E. And yes, it stands for ‘Edge’.

What is inside the Box?

The box is double-layered. On the top layer, you will see the device. As you may know, the Galaxy Note comes in various colors – “Charcoal Black,” “Frost White,” “Bronze Gold,” and “Blossom Pink” – but the one we have for the glorious semi-private unboxing event is Charcoal Black.

Under the cover, you will see the owner’s manual, a USB cable, a charger (which enables fast charging like the Galaxy Note 4), a pair of earphones, extra earphone tips (of different sizes – suit yourself), extra S Pen tips and a battery.

For your information, this is the version released in Korea, so things may be different in other markets.

Brief Overview of the Device

The Galaxy Note Edge has a transparent film to protect the screen, which also certifies its freshness. But we took it off for your convenience.

The Galaxy Note Edge features a 5.6-inch (or 141.9mm) Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display, with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and 160 pixels wide around the curve.

Similar to the Galaxy Note 4, it features a home button with a finger scanner, a 3.7MP front-facing camera with an f1.9 lens, a 16MP Rear camera with Smart OIS, a flash, UV and HRM, RGB ambient light, proximity and gesture sensors ad more. Also, don’t forget that it also features the metal frame and the S Pen.

However, unlike the Galaxy Note 4, the power button is located on top of the device rather than the side, because of the Edge Screen.

You should check out the Flip wallet

Although it doesn’t come with the box, the Galaxy Note Edge also has its own flip wallet, just like for the Galaxy devices. The Flip Cover for the Galaxy Note Edge has the same leather-like texture as the other back cover, but it leaves the edge screen open, so you can access information even with the flip wallet on, and even without a window. Not only the Flip Cover will add some flavor to the design, it will also make it more convenient. Check it out.

So that is it for the unboxing of the Galaxy Note Edge. If you liked it, please leave us a comment to let us know how you feel.
