Calling all photographers, philanthropists, and travelers! Here is your chance to go to Jamaica and mentor the next generation of photographers, thanks to 6-time Olympic Gold medalist Usain Bolt and Samsung SMART CAMERA. In the hopes of giving young Jamaicans the chance to learn all about photography, the Usain Bolt Foundation has recently partnered with Samsung SMART CAMERA to create the NX Junior Photographer Project, and we’re looking for mentors.

To apply to be an NX Mentor, you first need to be a semi-professional or professional photographer. You will also need 5 photos to submit to prove your photography skills. The recruitment period is until April 19 so hurry up – almost 300 people have already applied. To become the next NX Mentor, visit www.samsungnx300.com.

If you are one of the lucky chosen ones, you will travel to Jamaica for 3 days, from May 9 to 11. As an NX Mentor, you will participate in the Dream Photo Class with the young Jamaicans. On the first day, you will break the ice with the students and also learn about NX300 Samsung camera. The students will explore their passions through the day. On the second day, with the functional study, filming session, and My Photo Diary from the past to the future, the students will share their interests with you. On the last day, the young photographers will capture their dreams and exhibit their work with Usain Bolt.

Sign up to be the next “NX Mentor” and you could be travelling to Jamaica, teaching photography, and meeting Usain Bolt and photographer David Alan Harvey. Definitely a win-win-win situation!
