Pundits Agree: GALAXY Nexus is the Best Smartphone Around
The tech press seems to agree: The Samsung GALAXY Nexus, available on Verizon (an American wireless provider) as of December 15th, is the best Android phone around, if not the best smartphone. You can read what some of top media outlets are saying about the GALAXY Nexus below.
TIME magazine selected the Samsung Galaxy Nexus as one of the best products for 2011, featuring the device in the magazine’s “The Culture: Best of 2011” article. The first page of the article displayed a roadmap of all the honorees, including the Galaxy Nexus. In the article’s Best of Tech section, it boasts that the new Galaxy Nexus “packs a wallop” and has an “impressive” display and NFC capabilities. TIME also selected the GALAXY Nexus as the #2 Gadget of 2011, making it the highest ranked smartphone on the list.
But TIME magazine is not the only news source to notice the fantastic capabilities of the GALAXY Nexus. Far from it.
Laptop Magazine’s verdict? “We couldn’t help but notice people standing outside a Verizon store this morning waiting for it to open. And now that we’ve played around with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus for Verizon, we don’t blame them.” Not only that, “Based on our initial impressions, we say this is the Android phone to beat, and a better choice than the iPhone 4S for those who really care about data speed.”
CNN also heralded the significance of the launch: “the Galaxy Nexus, a smartphone that arrived in Verizon Wireless stores on Thursday, is huge — and not just because of its unusually large size.” Both articles give high praise to the large, beautiful display and other features, but the bulk of the articles explore the wonder of the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. CNN states “The Galaxy Nexus provides a clear view of the next generation of powerful Android phones.”
Popular Science agrees, “The Galaxy Nexus is the best Android phone I’ve ever used, heads and tails above anything else on the market.”
With the combination of the powerful Ice Cream Sandwich and the Nexus’s amazing specifications and design, the device seems set to enter 2012 in full force.
