[Infographic] Samsung Gear Devices Compatible with 20 Galaxy Devices

Good news for fitness fans:  Samsung Electronics announced the compatibility of the Samsung Gear 2 Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit. As of the 15th of April 2014, the Samsung Gear 2 Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit are compatible with 20 Galaxy devices, including Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note3 and Galaxy TabPRO. There are now 12 Galaxy smartphones and 8 tablets that are compatible with Samsung Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit.

Samsung has also announced a set of Software Development Kits for the Gear devices at MWC 2014 – Gear SDK and Gear Fit SDK. Among these, resources you need to develop apps for Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo are already available in Tizen SDK for Wearables and Samsung Mobile SDK(Accessory package). These SDKs are expected to help bring in more creativity from 3^rd party developers to ultimately enhance users’ Samsung Gear experiences. As far as connecting the devices, users can download the ‘Gear Manager’ or ‘Gear Fit Manager’ app at Samsung Apps to connect their Gear device to their Galaxy device.

All three Gear devices and provide real time fitness coaching that utilizes the heart rate sensor to provide unique, personalized advice and workout recommendations. Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit also all feature changeable straps which lets users express themselves, changing the look of the Gear device to match their outfit or mood for any type of activity.
