Samsung – Most IDEA awards over the last 5 years
IDEA is one of the most prestigious international design competitions held by the IDSA (Industrial Designers Society of America). Last year at IDEA, Samsung won the most awards and, as of this year, Samsung has accumulated 28 awards in 5 years, which is the most by a company for 11 consecutive years.
Samsung received 3 awards, including 1 Silver and 2 Bronze awards at the IDEA 2014 and Samsung Tomorrow is pleased to present the award winning products.
Motion Sync Vacuum Cleaner (Silver Award)
The Motion Sync vacuum cleaner is a new type of vacuum cleaner. The main body moves separately from its wheels, allowing more swifter and accurate motion during sudden turns. Also, the wheels and the main body form a triangle, ensuring more stable movement.
Motion Sync Upright Vacuum Cleaner (Bronze Award)
The Motion Sync Upright vacuum cleaner features a swivel brush and large and reverse cambered wheels, which offer maximum steer-ability, smoothly tackling corners and sharp turn. This vacuum cleaner can also detach from the main body completely, allowing users to clean hard to reach places easily. With its unique Motion Sync design, this vacuum cleaner won the bronze award.
WW9000 Washing Machine (Bronze Award)
This simple yet elegant washing machine has a smooth surface with delicate curves and translucent deep blue crystal finish. Also, it has a 30 millimeter drum, typical for a 24 inch washing machine, and a 45 degree door handle for easier and more convenient use for the users. This smart washing machine won the bronze award for its easy-to-use curved 5-inch color touchscreen and 2 simple controllable buttons for stopping and pausing.
The premium vacuum cleaners and washing machine receiving the IDEA awards shows that Samsung is one-step closer to become a leader in the global home appliance market in 2015.
The 'IDEA 2014' awards ceremony will be held on August 13 in Austin, USA.
