Vietnam Deputy PM Visits Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen

Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and a high-official state delegation visited Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen (SEVT) in June 21st 2016. The Deputy PM showed special interest in social benefits and welfare policies for employees in SEVT, and toured SEVT facilities inside the manufacturing complex.

At open discussion between SEVT management and the delegation, Mrs Nguyen Thu Hong, Vice Chairman of Vietnam General Federation of Labour, questioned about social securities in SEVT. Mr Seo Byung Kwon, HR Director of SEVT, explained that all welfares regulated by the state are fully implemented, and SEVT provides enhanced facilities and benefits for employees.

Before leaving SEVT, the Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam emphasized “Vietnam’s government always considers Samsung as strategic partner. Samsung has invested hugely in Vietnam, and we understand that Samsung will stay in Vietnam for a long time”.
