What Mario Gotze really thinks about the Curved UHD TV
Mario Gotze: A Rising Football Genie
Called the ‘Future of German Football’, Mario Gotze is a famous football player that Germany is understandably proud of. This 22-year-old young midfielder is all over the field, processing high speed, excellent technical and dribbling skill, and play-making capabilities. “One of the best talents Germany’s ever had,” said Matthias Sammer, the Former German Football Association’s technical director.
If you’re a fanatical football fan waiting for the biggest soccer festival to start in June, you might already be aware of the fact that Gotze has joined the Galaxy 11 as well, the ultimate football project that consists of 13 world’s greatest football talent.
The team Mario Gotze is currently on is FC Bayern Munich, which is based in the southern city of Munich, Germany. On May 7th, a special event was held in this city: a football campaign with Mario Gotze and the First UHD Live Streaming Showcase of Samsung and Maxdome.
In a friendly and comfortable atmosphere, Mario Gotze was interviewed by Wolff-Christoph Fuss, a German football commentator. Gotze told about his football-watching evenings at home and personal expectations about the upcoming football event this summer.
According to a survey Samsung presented, German people usually watch football on TV. The survey says that about 75% of the Germans prefer watching football at home rather than in a public place or in a pub. This would suggest that TV picture quality is very important. Fortunately, Samsung Curved UHD TV is one of the best options for picture quality, offering the ultimate viewing experience.
So, what specifically is so good about the Samsung’s Curved UHD TV? Samsung gave a UHD live demonstration to uncover it.
The First UHD Live Streaming Showcase
With about 45 journalists from various media in attendance, the First UHD Live Streaming Showcase was held. The UHD Live Streaming contents were provided by Maxdome, the leading VOD platform in Germany. And Samsung Electronics presented a workshop explaining the features of the new Curved UHD TV.
The showcase took place in the Panorama Lounge, which has an elegantly curved wall. Right in the center of Munich, this building offers a spectacular view over the city.
Sequences from Red Bull’s Extreme Sports trailers and the movie ‘The Physician (‘Der Medicus’ in German)’ were streamed from Maxdome servers to the Curved UHD TV (HU8590). The brilliant picture quality of UHD and immersive viewing experience of the Curved display definitely captured the journalists’ interest.
How does Samsung get the UHD contents delivered into households? After the UHD demonstration, a presentation was delivered to reveal Samsung’s technology:
- ‘Upscaling technology’ makes SD, HD and FHD contents be presented as ‘upscale UHD’. This technology has four steps including analyzing the signal, reducing the noise, upscaling the images, and enhancing the details.
- HEVC Codec and HDMI 2.0: Samsung’s Curved UHD TV supports the standards such as HEVC (High Efficiency Video Codec) and HDMI 2.0. HEVC Codec transmits high quality images without resolution loss. HDMI 2.0 enables the high resolution images to be delivered at high speed.
- With ‘UHD Evolution Kit’ customers can stay up to date on the latest UHD standards.
- Samsung UHD Video Pack: With Samsung’s exclusive UHD Video Pack (500GB of available data), consumers can watch Hollywood blockbusters and documentaries. Samsung plans to release a second UHD Video Pack with more UHD contents in the second half of this year.
