내 친구 ’빗하(vietha)’를 소개합니다!

능숙하게 한국어를 구사하고 봉사활동과 운동, 요리, 공부 등 완벽하게 한국문화에 적응해 가고 있는 만능 외국인 임직원 '빗하'씨를 여러분에게 소개합니다.

Q. 먼저 간단한 자기 소개를 부탁 드립니다.
안녕하세요. 저는 빗하 라고 하고요. 베트남에서 왔습니다. 저는 영남대학교에서 화학공학을 전공했습니다. 일년 전 삼성에 입사했고요, R&D Center의 공정개발팀에서 일하고 있습니다. 일을 하지 않을 때는 드라마를 즐겨보고요, 운동을 하고 책을 읽거나 간단한 음식을 혼자 만들어 먹기도 합니다. 저는 매일 운동 하려고 해요. 저는 스포츠를 잘하는 편이라고 생각하고요. 여행도 좋아하고요 적어도 매년 한 번은 각국을 여행하려고 합니다.
 
Q. 가족소개와 베트남 소개를 부탁 드려도 될까요?
저는 막내로 태어났고요. 가족들 모두 베트남에 있습니다. 아버지는 집 근처의 작은 설비회사에서 일하시고요. 어머니는 집안일을 하십니다. 어떻게 보면 어머니의 일이 저보다 더 힘든 일이라고 생각되네요.

언니도 한 명 있는데요. 언니는 호치민에 있는 법률 사무소에서 일합니다. 한국에서 베트남까지는 5시간 정도 비행해야 갈수 있습니다. 한국과 베트남은 중국 문화의 영향을 받아서 공통점이 많습니다. 이런 점이 한국에서 잘 적응하는데 도움이 되었고, 대부분의 한국 음식도 잘 먹을 수 있습니다. 또 베트남은 열대 국가이기 때문에  한국보다 더욱 다양한 음식과 과일이 있습니다. 베트남으로 오세요. 베트남을 좋아하게 될 거라고 믿어요~
 
Q. 한국에 온지는 얼마나 됐죠? 당신이 느끼는 한국에 대해서 말해주세요.
한국에선 3년 동안 지내고 있는데요. 2년은 공부하고 1년은 일을 하고 있습니다. 얼마나 여기에서 지낼지는 모르겠어요. 한국에 온 첫날을 아직도 기억합니다. 2008년 2월 28일이었는데, 버스에서 흰색으로 덮인 많은 산들을 봤었습니다. 저는 감탄했어요 '저게 뭐죠? 왜 산꼭대기에 하얀 파우더가 있는거죠?  겨울에 나무를 따뜻하게 하기 위해 덮어 둔건가요?' 나중에야 그게 눈이었다는 걸 알았고, 창피했습니다. ^^ 한국에 오기 전엔 눈을 본적이 없었거든요. 그때를 생각하면 가끔 혼자 웃기도 합니다. 그게 한국에서의 첫인상이었어요.

Q. 삼성에서는 어떤 일을 하고 있어요?
저는 공정개발팀에서 일하고 있어요. 선진 모듈 기술개발 프로젝트죠. 솔직히 말하면, 저는 공정을 배우고 있어요. 그래서 작은 프로젝트를 수반하고 있어요. 그래서 많은 동료들로부터 많이 배울 수 있어요. 

반도체 현장에서의 경험이 없고 한국어를 잘 모르기 때문에 저희 팀에 많은 기여를 하지 못해요.

다행히도, 저희 팀은 잘 이해해주고 저를 많이 도와줘요. 가끔 저에게 너무 친절하지 않았으면 좋겠다 싶을 정도로요.^^

Q. 삼성 임직원들에게 한마디 해주시겠어요?
저는 아직 일하면서나, 회사나 한국에서의 생활에서나 많은 어려움을 가지고 있습니다. 그래서 항상 즐겁게 생활하려고 애쓰고 있어요. 제 곁에는 항상 좋은 친구들과 도움을 주는 동료들이 있거든요. 그래서 한국에서의 시간은 제 일생에서의 아름다운 기억중의 하나가 될거예요. 감사합니다.

평소 영어 울렁증이 있는 저에게 외국인 임직원을 만나 대화를 나눈다는 것이 조금은 두려웠지만 빗하씨의 수준급 한국어 실력에 인터뷰를 잘 마칠 수 있었습니다. 미션 덕분에 외국인 친구도 사귈 수 있었고 다음엔 빗하씨가 베트남 요리도 만들어 주기로 해서 벌써부터 기대됩니다.^^

I would like to introduce 'VietHa' to Samsung people. She speaks fluent Korean, does volunteer activity, cooking, and studying hard in order to get used to Korean culture well.

Q. Firstly, Please introduce yourself.
Hello, my name is Nguyen Viet Ha. I am from Vietnam. I had received Master degree in Korea from Yeungnam University as Chemical Engineering. I joined Samsung 1 year ago. Now, I am working at Process Development Team in Semiconductor R&D Center. Beside my work, I spend my spare time on watching drama, doing exercises, reading book and making some simple delicious food for myself.
I try to do exercises every day and I think I am kind of person good at in sport.^^I also like to travel. Every year, going to at least 1 different country is my target. 

Q. Could you tell me about Family and your country?
 I am the last children in my family. My family is all in Vietnam now. My father is working at small mechanical company nearby my house, my mother stays at home and takes care many small stuffs. I think her job is even harder than me in some sense. I have one sister. She is lawyer at law firm in Ho Chi Minh City. People said that we are alike. She has all beauty, smart, and intelligence from my parents, almost nothing left to me. It is unfair. From Korea, It takes around 5 hours to flight to my country, Vietnam. Because we have influence of Chinese cultural in history, Vietnam and Korea share many common aspects. These help me live quite well in Korea; I can eat almost all Korean food. Besides, Vietnam is tropical country; there are more diversity of food and fruit comparing with Korea. You should come and enjoy some days. I am sure you will love it very much.

Q. How long have you been in Korea? What is your first impression of Korea?
Until now, I have been in Korea for 3 years. Studying is 2 year and working is 1 year and I don’t know how many years more I will stay here. I still remembered the first day I came to Korea. That was 28th of Feb 2008.I sited inside the bus and looked outside. I saw many mountains and all had white color on the top.
I was wondering 'what is that? Why do they put white powder in the top of mountain? Do they need to keep the trees warm in winter'. Later on, I found that is snow. So ashamed! I had ever seen snow before I came to Korea. Sometimes I laugh at myself because of that. But that was my first impression of Korea.

Q. What do you do in Samsung Semiconductor?
I am working in Process Development Team, Advanced Module Technology Development Project. To be honest, I am studying process, so I am involving in some small projects. By that way, I can learn more from many other colleagues. Because of lack of experience in Semiconductor field and Korean ability, I have not contributed much to my team. Fortunately, my team understands it and helps me a lot. I think sometimes they should not be too kind to me.

Q. Is there anything else you'd like to add for Samsung Elec. people?
I cannot deny that I still have many difficulties in working, living in Samsung and Korea as well. So, instead of thinking of them, I always try to find the way to enjoy them. Beside me, I always have good friends, colleagues to help me. So, period in Korea will always be one of beautiful part in my life.

I was afraid to talk with a foreign Samsung colleague due to my poor English, but VietHa speaks good Korean. Therefore, I finished interviewing her well. This interview mission gave me a chance to make a new foreign friend, and next time she would cook Vietnamese cuisine for me. I'm already looking forward to the food.
