Samsung Contributes Three Ambulances to Malaysian Red Crescent Society
Samsung Malaysia Electronics recently announced their partnership with the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) to facilitate and elevate the administration of emergency mobile care to meet the needs of local communities in Malaysia. In line with MRCS’ mission of saving lives and protecting livelihood, Samsung contributed three (3) units of ambulance to MRCS in an effort to support the organisation’s voluntary relief movement.
“Samsung aims to help communities by providing better access to healthcare solutions and services to communities we live in. With this contribution of ambulances to the Malaysian Red Crescent Society, we hope to make positive change,” said Dato’ Roh Jae Yeol, Director of Corporate Affairs, Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
The number of ambulances, the speed of its dispatch and the swift response of the volunteer team is crucial when it comes to saving lives. Fully-equipped with mobile medical facilities to handle emergencies or patient transport, the ambulances will be an invaluable contribution from Samsung to help voluntary organisations such as MRCS to make these paramedic services and medical transportation facilities accessible to the public.
Apart from this initiative, Samsung has organised various corporate citizenship programmes centering around education such as the Samsung SMART Library and the Samsung TECH Academy campaign to educate and empower young Malaysians.
