Bringing Galaxy AI to Galaxy S23 Series, Tab S9, Z Flip5 and Z Fold5, and Other Galaxy Devices: Three Things to Know
Calling Samsung fans – the long-awaited [1] features are now available with the latest One UI 6.1 update on more Galaxy devices. If you own a Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Tab S9 (5G) series and Galaxy Tab S9 (Wi-Fi) series device, you can look forward to elevated mobile experiences with Galaxy AI starting from March 29 and harness the unlimited opportunities of on-device and cloud-based AI, all from your Galaxy device.
Q: How do I check if Galaxy AI has been installed on my device?
Look out for the above software update notification
To get the Galaxy AI features, make sure your Galaxy device’s software is updated to the latest version. You may receive a pop-up on your phone prompting you to download and install the update or you can update your mobile device’s software manually to One UI 6.1, following these steps:
- Go to Settings > Software update.
- Tap on Download and install.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Q: Which Galaxy AI features will be made available?
The below features will be progressively rolled out on the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Tab S9 (5G) series and Galaxy Tab S9 (Wi-Fi) series, unless otherwise specified.

[7] Generative Edit requires a network connection and Samsung Account login. Editing with Generative Edit results in a resized photo up to 12MP. A visible watermark is overlaid on the image output upon saving in order to indicate that the image is generated by AI. The accuracy and reliability of the generated output is not guaranteed.
[8] Instant Slow-mo is only available on the pre-installed Samsung Video Player and Samsung Gallery app. Service availability may differ by the video spec.
