Calling for budding filmmakers & content creators: Samsung Short & Sharp is here!
Samsung Electronics Singapore has announced the 2025 edition of Short & Sharp Film Festival – Samsung’s very own mobile short film festival to inspire the next generation of content creators and budding filmmakers.
This year, Samsung is partnering with Mediacorp to offer contestants the opportunity to be inspired by industry veterans and trailblazers on how they can supercharge their storytelling and filmmaking skills.
Budding filmmakers can stand to win over $7,000 in prizes when they submit a short film of up to 60 seconds that tell their stories in relation to the festival theme: “Supercharging My Now: Finding the Extraordinary in Everyday Singaporean Life”.
“Every Singaporean has a uniquely Singapore story to tell. And as we celebrate our 60 years of independence this year, we wanted Short & Sharp to be a platform for individuals to share their stories in a condensed, fit-for-mobile style, that is befitting of the changing consumer landscape today that is turning more to mobile platforms for entertainment. We hope Short & Sharp will become a springboard for aspiring filmmakers and content creators and inspire supercharged stories about our past, present and future”, said Lynn Chong, Director and Head of Brand Marketing, Mobile eXperience, Samsung Electronics Singapore.
Short & Sharp entries will be assessed by Samsung along with a panel of industry trailblazers with unmatched filmmaking expertise. From award-winning productions to groundbreaking content creation, they represent the very best of the craft:
