Samsung Announces Winners for the #TeamUnstoppable 2022 in Singapore
Samsung Electronics has rounded off the second run of #TeamUnstoppable, a regional brand campaign that challenges the Gen Zs and millennials of Southeast Asia to overcome barriers, uplift others and create positive change.
Based on the theme “Together, We are Unstoppable”, the #TeamUnstoppable 2022 movement aimed to encourage young digital natives to creatively express their very own ‘unstoppable’ stories.
“We would like to thank all participants for their willingness and courage to share their unique version of unstoppable stories on our platforms. The power of sharing your personal story and lessons learned amplifies how you have changed and personally grown. And congratulations to all winners, we hope you will continue to inspire us with more unstoppable stories”, said Roy Lan, Regional Senior Brand Marketing Manager, Southeast Asia, and Oceania at Samsung Electronics.

First Place: Hoe Shu Rin

Staying connected and overcoming burnout
Two years ago, copywriter Shu Rin was facing the worst case of burnout, affecting her so severely that she was even unable to continue working at the peak of Covid-19. This was when she decided to reinvent herself – taking on a digital marketing course, staying active, and explore nature, all while keeping connected with loved-ones with the help of her Samsung Galaxy S20FE, Galaxy Watch Active2 and Galaxy Buds+. The break she had from work helped her recharge and finally found her spark again to become a full-time freelance writer at her own pace.

Improving the life of people with disabilities
Doran’s autism and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) have brought about a heightened sensitivity to unexpected sounds – like phone notifications, as well as an anxiety on keeping her items clean. Just the thought of her having to check her phone with dirty hands can make her shudder. To overcome these barriers, Doran relies on her Samsung Galaxy S10e and Galaxy Watch4. The “Do Not Disturb” that syncs across both devices helps reduce the chance of getting startled by unexpected notifications, while the Watch4 lets her check on her notifications hands-free. Doran is also enjoying the improved accessibility and personalisation that has been introduced with the latest One UI update.

Third Place: Glenn |
Keeping fit and defying your own barriers
Like many, keeping in shape and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a difficult barrier to get through for Glenn – but he’s not giving up. It is a daily effort to keep trying, and Glenn is taking the first steps to a healthier lifestyle, with his favourite fitness companion – the Galaxy Watch. The Samsung Health feature that syncs to his Galaxy smartphone helps him track his daily workout and keeps him motivated to push for a better lifestyle.
