Samsung Partners with Challenger, Geniebook and TeachingTutor.ai to Advance Edtech Offerings and Adoption in Singapore

Strategic partnerships to develop scalable, innovative technology rooted in trust to deliver trusted digital classroom experiences and improved reliability for all

At the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony held at Edutech Asia 2024, Samsung Electronics Singapore (Samsung) cemented its partnership with Challenger Technologies Limited (Challenger), Geniebook and TeachingTutor.ai to enhance digital classroom experiences with a wide spectrum of AI-powered edtech solutions that are scalable and secured by government-grade Knox security.

 

In addition, Samsung and partners will jointly facilitate workshops and curate a library of multimedia resources to support AI adoption and expand AI literacy for educators and users in the education space.

 

“The age of artificial intelligence has accelerated the demand for suitable technology to build relevant 21st-century skills, including AI and digital literacy. By partnering with like-minded organisations, we are well placed to offer AI-ready solutions for the education sector with our devices and our partners’ comprehensive offerings,” said Dennis Jang, President of Samsung Electronics Singapore. “The MoUs signed are proof of our commitment, and we will work closely with partners within the sector to further the delivery of relevant digital skills, made possible with Galaxy and Samsung Knox.”

Samsung & Challenger: Accelerating Adoption of Mobile AI Devices in Education Sector

Samsung’s partnership with homegrown consumer electronics retailer Challenger will pave the way for both brands to offer solutions targeted at the education sector, including hardware and post-sales support. To elevate AI literacy in the education sector, both brands aim to engage up to 2,000 educators and users through workshops designed by Samsung.

 

With deep retail experience and a growing commercial arm, Challenger will work closely with Samsung to reach out to customers by showcasing how Galaxy devices, along with Samsung’s enterprise offerings, can be tailored for specific education use cases.  Both brands will lead the charge in creating safe learning environments by deploying and introduce guardrails for users and leveraging the defence-grade Samsung Knox security solutions.

 

Challenger will also conduct ‘Gen-AI for Educators’ introductory workshops to support AI adoption and elevate AI literacy. The workshops will also equip technical staff with the expertise on creating safe learning environments using Knox Platform to manage large device fleet in schools and implement usage guardrails in the classroom and after school hours.

Samsung & Geniebook: Redefining Learning Experiences with AI

Geniebook entered a partnership with Samsung to deliver AI-powered e-learning experiences on Galaxy tablets secured by Knox.

 

Users can look forward to a more intuitive and personalised learning experience with Geniebook on Galaxy tablets that seamlessly combines both on-device and cloud AI-powered capabilities – all accessible with just a touch or through the S Pen. They can also be assured of a more secure customised experience with access to parental controls and Knox features.

Samsung & TeachingTutor.ai: Transforming Education with AI-Powered Learning Journey

 

 

Samsung is entering a partnership with TeachingTutor.ai, a personalised AI learning platform built on deep learning models. The Australia-based edtech startup aims to deliver high-quality, personalised learning curriculum for learners of all ages, and relies on AI to offer real-time insights on student performance, along with the ability to deliver custom learning journeys based on the learner’s usage of the platform.

 

“Many AI services today require active network connectivity, but this may be a challenge in educational institutions where cost and infrastructure may be a challenge. Hence, our partnership with Samsung is a breakthrough for AI learning platforms as the Galaxy device architecture will allow for TeachingTutor.ai platform to perform, even when the device is not connected online. This will allow learners to enjoy learning without worries,” said Harry Katsiabanis, Chief Investment Officer of TeachingTutor.ai.

Samsung for Education

As Singapore and other markets rely more on technology to enhance teaching and learning, Samsung is also committed in providing customers in the education sectors the right solutions for learning. This spans across Samsung’s digital devices, Galaxy AI, and security offerings.

 

  • Samsung recently announced the Galaxy Tab S10 Series, Samsung’s first AI-ready tablet, which offers features that allow users to enhance their learning experience with features such as the Galaxy S Pen and the Galaxy AI Key on the Book Cover Keyboard for written prompts, allowing users to switch between Samsung’s Bixby and Google’s Gemini.

 

  • Samsung announced Galaxy AI in early 2024, which brings everyday AI tools to its latest range of Galaxy devices. Features such as Notes Assist, Photo Assist and Interpreter have empowered Galaxy users to be more productive and creative for more seamless learning experiences. For example, students can lean on Note Assist to organise and summarise study notes, helping them to study smart, not hard.

 

  • Samsung Knox platform offers government-grade security, along with full device management and deployment capabilities for students and staffs from schools, private learning centres and other education organisations. IT teams are now able to oversee students’ data usage and manage large fleet of Galaxy devices with ease and efficiency.
