The Kallang Group and Samsung Electronics Singapore today announced a multi-year partnership that combines sport, community and technology to create more engaging experiences and promote active living.

Central to the partnership is a shared vision to build healthier communities by making sport and wellness experiences more accessible, engaging and inclusive through technology. As the official consumer electronics partner of The Kallang Group, Samsung will offer its technological expertise across mobile, smart wearables, displays and connected AI appliances.

Together, The Kallang Group and Samsung will explore programmes that encourage greater participation in sport and wellness for all ages and fitness levels, while showcasing how technology can enrich everyday experiences across the precinct.

“More consumers today are taking a proactive interest in managing their health and wellness, and technology can make that journey more engaging, accessible and rewarding,” said Jeffrey Hahn, President, Samsung Electronics Singapore. “Through our partnership with The Kallang Group, we are excited to bring Samsung’s innovative technology to visitors across the precinct, especially those participating in sporting and community events. As a global technology leader, we are confident that our solutions can help create meaningful experiences, support more active communities in Singapore, and contribute to The Kallang’s vision to be the leader in bringing spaces and experiences to life.”

“The Kallang is a vibrant shared space that brings together national athletes and everyday Singaporeans in their pursuit of excellence and healthier, more active lifestyles,” said Daryl Yeo, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Experience Officer, The Kallang Group. “This partnership with Samsung complements our broader digital journey and reflects our commitment to creating innovative experiences that inspire participation, strengthen community connections and make every visit to The Kallang meaningful and memorable.”

Building Healthier Communities through Shared Experiences

This shared commitment to active living and community engagement will be brought to life through a series of activations, beginning with the inaugural Samsung Galaxy Walkathon on 13 September, held as part of the National Stadium Experience.

The National Stadium Experience, which takes place from 29 August to 20 September, is The Kallang Group’s signature community event, and will feature crowd favourites including bouncy castles and the opportunity to run on the National Stadium track, bringing families and the community together through fun activities and memorable shared experiences.

Held in support of World Heart Day 2026 and in partnership with Singapore Heart Foundation, the Samsung Galaxy Walkathon invites Singaporeans of all ages and abilities to complete a meaningful 5km walk around The Kallang precinct, equivalent to 6,100 steps, in celebration Singapore’s 61st birthday. To mark this momentous community effort and champion heart health awareness, The Kallang Group will light-up the National Stadium in red on the evening of 13 September.

As part of the Walkathon, Samsung has launched a donation drive and will contribute to the Singapore Heart Foundation to support efforts to raise awareness of heart health and provide financial assistance to patients.

Participants will also have the opportunity to experience Samsung’s AI-powered wearables[1], which provide personalised insights to support healthier habits and wellness goals. For example, the new Heart Health Score provides clarity on heart health based on sleep, stress and activity, alongside recommendations to help users maintain or improve their overall heart health.

Enhancing experiences across The Kallang

Beyond community activations, the partnership will also enhance visitor experiences across The Kallang through innovative display technologies and connected solutions. These include:

  • Enhanced fan and visitor experiences through the precinct-wide installation of close to 500 Samsung AI TVs and monitors[2] in hospitality suites and event spaces. As the Official Consumer Electronics Partner of the Singapore Tennis Open 2026 (21 to 27 September), Samsung will bring fans closer to the action by screening selected matches on high-definition displays at OCBC Arena and the Fan Zone at Arena Park. Access to the Fan Zone is free to all members of the public.
  • Seamless access to information and services at key touchpoints, including The Kallang Ticketing Box and within the Kallang Wave Mall, through the deployment of Samsung smart monitors that enhance wayfinding and visitor experience.
  • Bringing the community together through support for major celebrations and events held at the precinct. This includes Countdown 2027 at The Kallang, an annual celebration that brings thousands together to welcome the new year through shared experiences. More details will be announced at a later date.
