Samsung Launches New Brand Campaign Demonstrating How American Families Unwrite the Rules for Life at Home with Samsung Appliances

9/14/2020

Today, Samsung launches a new brand campaign highlighting how American families use Samsung innovations to rewrite the rules for the home. The campaign demonstrates how Samsung home appliances empower people to live lives that are more creative, flexible, and connected than ever before.

Family Hub - Home Appliance 2020

“At Samsung, we’re proud that people choose our home appliances—because they know we offer innovations that inspire them and complement their lifestyles,” said John Herrington, Senior Vice President, General Manager of Home Appliances, Samsung Electronics America. “We’ve completely changed what’s possible for home appliances by creating brand-new categories of products that are smarter and more connected.”

As showcased in the brand campaign, Samsung has recently expanded its portfolio to include ground-breaking products and services that help people discover new ways of cooking and cleaning.

Unwriting the Rules for Life at Home

From a mop that cleans your floors for you to a range that knows your preheat settings, Samsung appliances offer everything today’s families could possibly imagine—and even a few things they can’t.

Today’s families are living lives they love, on their own terms. They’re breaking the mold, defying the rules, and redefining how things get done at home—and who does them.

Samsung’s home appliances are empowering families to overcome their daily barriers and bringing them convenience and joy. Samsung’s new campaign demonstrates how its broad portfolio offers the innovation that families want right now.

New Ways of Cooking

These days, Americans are cooking at a scale not seen in 50 years.1 For many, cooking has evolved from a necessity to a passion. In fact, 71% of Americans—and 80% of Gen Zers—are trying new recipes.2

Samsung’s new lineup of Front Control Slide-In Ranges will get people even more excited about cooking.

First, you can preheat your oven from anywhere. The Ranges are Wi-Fi connected and voice-assistant enabled. So you can preheat, monitor, and adjust cook time 3and temperature—all from the SmartThings™ App on your smartphone4 or through your favorite voice assistant.5

Second, you can control your range with the all-new, AI-enabled Smart Dial. Just like a smart thermostat learns your temperature preferences throughout the day, the Smart Dial remembers your go-to settings and creates shortcuts, saving you time.

Finally, its new Air Fry mode makes cooking with a crunch healthier.6 You can quickly crisp up a piece of fish or sweet potato fries, right in your oven, using little to no oil.

In many ways, the Front Control Slide-In Range is like having a cooking assistant in your kitchen. So is Family Hub for 2020: It not only knows what’s inside your fridge, it also suggests recipes you can cook with those ingredients. If you’re missing any ingredients, Family Hub can order them for you from popular grocery delivery apps.

New Ways of Cleaning

American families are spending a lot of time cleaning these days. In fact, many people say they’re running their vacuums three or more times per week,7 and 66% of people between the ages of 18 and 34 say they’re cleaning or doing other chores as a break.8

Samsung recently launched new products that help people keep their homes clean—or, better yet, products that clean their homes for them.

The Samsung Jetbot Mop automatically and quickly removes dust and dirt from your hard floors. It has a high-capacity battery that allows it to mop for up to 100 minutes, as well as eight different cleaning modes, including an option that lets you use it by hand. Its smart sensors allow it to navigate around your furniture, and prevent it from falling down the stairs. And the Jetbot Mop disperses just enough water to get the job done, while minimizing the amount of time it takes your floors to dry.

The Jet Stick Vacuums are cordless, lightweight, and easy to use on all types of floors within your home. They have up to 200 Watts of industry-leading suction power and a high-performance filtration system that captures 99.999% of dust particles and allergens that would normally escape back into the air.9 For a simple way to clean the dustbin after you’re finished vacuuming, just place it on top of the newly unveiled Clean Station™ to automatically empty its contents.

Washer - Dryer - Laundry Home Appliance 2020

People aren’t just cleaning more—they’re also doing more laundry. Most parents report that they’re doing at least 5 loads per week, and 3 in 10 Americans say they would rather give up coffee than give up their washing machines.10

People are looking for ways to make washing, drying, and ironing their clothes quicker and more convenient. That’s one of the reasons Samsung unveiled the AirDresser, a brand-new category and a brand-new way to care for your clothing. With a powerful combination of steam and airflow, AirDresser relaxes light wrinkles, removes dust and odors, and refreshes not just your clothes, but your family’s outerwear, bedding, and soft toys, too. It’s convenient as the seasons change, as it has nine cycles tailored for specific garments, including leather, down jackets, and winter coats.
