Behind the Scenes of Samsung Gives’ 13th Annual Day of Service

9/25/2023

The season of giving is in full swing at Samsung, as employees came together nationwide for the 13th annual Samsung Gives Day of Service. With over 1,800 opportunities to participate both in-person and virtually with over 60 non-profit organizations, employees spent the day bringing Samsung’s global mission of Together for Tomorrow, Enabling People to life through service activities rooted in STEM education, sustainability, and diversity, equity and inclusion.

In addition to driving positive change in communities, Day of Service empowers employees to form new friendships, learn about local non-profit organizations and pursue their passions. This year, Samsung’s Manny Garcia, Credit Risk Manager in the Business Management Division, and Robby Gallagher, Training Operations Manager, AT&T Retail Channel Team in the MX Experience Division, headed to their events with cameras in hand, ready to combine their love for capturing content and community service.

In New Jersey, Manny teamed up with Hispanics Inspiring Students’ Performance and Achievement (HISPA) and his fellow members of UNIDOS, Samsung’s Hispanic and Latino Employee Resource Group, to empower predominantly low-income, public middle school students to unlock their potential and achieve success. And in Texas, Robby joined Uplift Education, the largest public charter school network in North Texas, in conjunction with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, to mentor students with career panels, a tour of Samsung’s Legacy Central Office and Networks Innovation Center, and Samsung Care vehicle and phone repair demonstration.
