JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – 27 August 2021 –

Samsung launched its much-anticipated BESPOKE refrigerator today, at the Decorex Trade Function and Industry Talks today in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town. The designer BESPOKE concept took centre stage at the gathering of key industry players, exploring the themes of contemporary product design and global interior trends.

The event included a talk by Anita Bloom, Creative Director: Lifestyle, Design & Retail Portfolio Decorex Africa, who discussed current kitchen trends, including the enhanced desire for customised design and the growing importance consumers place on technology in their homes. Mark Mackay, Home Appliances Product Lead at Samsung South Africa introduced the BESPOKE to the audience, highlighting the incomparable category the revolutionary appliance exists in.

With this design, Samsung has placed personal tastes at the centre-point where practicality and convenience used to be, as you can now select the Samsung BESPOKE refrigerator that best matches your preferences, and even transform the set-up, as your life and needs change over time. You can now elevate your space, your way, with a customisable design, so you can choose your favourite finish, colour or material based on your individual design tastes.

“Now, instead of choosing from countless generic refrigerators, you can express the characteristics of your unique lifestyle. This is why Samsung ingeniously instilled two ideas into the refrigerator design; ‘Customisation’ that adheres to any disposition and ‘Combination’ that lets you add or take out, based on your needs, said Mackay.

The BESPOKE Refrigerator was designed in a direct response to what consumers are now asking for. Samsung has created a refrigerator that is no longer limited to white and grey colours. You can choose the colour that matches the tone of your kitchen as if choosing paint from a colour palette and create harmony within space with materials like sturdy metal and smooth glass. In South Africa, the BESPOKE 4-Door Flex includes 10 colour selections as well as Glam Glass, which gives a feeling of brightness that lights up space and Satin Glass, which gives a sense of comfort with soft and delicate glass.

Samsung has ensured that the BESPOKE Refrigerator delivers on features that resonates with consumers.  It is a one-of-a-kind appliance that is as aesthetically customisable as a piece of furniture and as functional in your kitchen as the food products it stores. BESPOKE includes customised food management options such as a FlexZone that allows you to switch between 5 different temperature modes as you require.  You can also enjoy quick and easy access to refreshingly cold and flavoured water. The fridge’s Autofill Water Pitcher is automatically filled with purified water when you place it inside the fridge. Its 1.4 L capacity means you always have plenty of filtered and chilled or flavoured water that’s ready to be served.

Importantly, with load shedding a reality for South Africa, it includes Samsung’s renowned Digital inverter motor that can protect this incredible appliance from damage. From its variable panels to its flexible storage and dispenser options, the BESPOKE 4-Door Flex, has been designed to seamlessly fit your lifestyle.

The BESPOKE line-up has been launched with the Bespoke 4-Door Flex. South Africans who choose to be the first to embrace Bespoke can receive a* R10 000 in store voucher and the peace of mind and convenience of Samsung’s renowned Signature Service to the value of over R3000, which includes delivery and installation.
