JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – 01 February 2022 – Samsung, the most admired technology brand in Africa* has clearly also garnered the respect of its employees, as it has been named by The Top Employers Institute as one of the South African companies that create the best employment conditions for its staff. This is an award it has now achieved for the 8th year in a row. The prestigious Top Employer Certification reaffirms Samsung South Africa’s dedication to providing the very best working environment for employees through progressive “people-first” HR practices.

“We’ve been continually investing in programmes and practices that nurture talent and builds leaders. This certification therefore reflects the culmination of many years of focus on our people and creating an environment that nurtures their potential and enhances their skillsets. The collaborative spirit we have created was even sustained over the challenges of lockdowns, during which many of our staff worked from home in the interest of safeguarding their health. Despite the distances they remained committed and worked as if they were in the same building. This benefits our customers greatly. We look forward to maintaining this great symbol of our unity and strength, because together we are stronger,” said Hlubi Shivanda, Operations Director at Samsung Africa.

About Top Employer
