Samsung Sweeps the Inaugural TOI Gadgets Now Awards

Samsung India swept the inaugural edition of the Times of India Gadgets Now Awards with four of its new product innovations being recognized as industry best by experts and by popular choice. Samsung’s flagship smartphone Galaxy Note9 won the Jury Award in the ‘Best Smartphone of the Year’ category, while Galaxy A9, which features the world’s first quad-camera set up won the People’s Choice Award in the ‘Most Innovative Smartphone of the Year’ category. Samsung Gear Icon X received the People’s Choice Award for the ‘Best Audio Device of the Year (Headphones)’. Samsung TV also got the People’s Choice Award in the ‘Best Television of the Year’ category.

 

The launch edition of the Gadgets Now Awards, a celebration of the best tech gadgets over the past year, were presented across 12 categories. For each category, there were two sets of awards – jury awards, selected by an eminent panel of experts, and ‘People’s Choice award, selected through online voting that was conducted between 17-29 January 2019.
