DIY: 5 Tips to Ensure Your Samsung WindFree™ AC Always Gives Comfortable, Cool Breeze
Samsung’s WindFree™ AC is designed to help you enjoy a cozy, comfortable and relaxing time at your home. Whether you’re lounging on the couch and catching up on your favourite web series or sleeping after a long, hectic day at work, the AC has got it all covered for you. With its 23,000 micro-holes, the WindFree™ AC eliminates cold draft and creates a soothing and comfortable environment, perfect for you to unwind.
However, it is important to keep your AC clean to enjoy clean cool air. Here are 5 easy DIY tips:
- Clean the Air Filter Manually
To clean the air filter, first turn the AC off and unplug it. Now, open the front grill of the device and remove the filters. Clean the filters using a soft brush or under running water. Once the air filters are clean, dry them to the last water droplet in a well-ventilated area. Put the filter back in the AC once it’s dry and ready to be used again.
Ideally you should clean the air filter once a week. If the AC usage is relatively less, then twice a month would suffice.
- Use ‘Auto Clean’ to Clean the Evaporator Coil
This is another way of keeping the air filter of your WindFree™ AC clean. For this, press the ‘Options’ button on the AC remote. Then, toggle left or right buttons for the ‘Clean’ message to show on the screen, and press ‘Set’. The ‘Auto Clean’ function commences when you press ON or OFF button of your AC remote. The entire procedure takes between 15 and 20 minutes, and the percentage of completion (air filter cleaning) can be seen on the digital panel of the WindFree™ AC.
- Change Hose Opening or Remove Items
To allow clean and odourless air flow, change the drain hose opening of the air conditioner. Additionally, remove any items from near the AC that can trigger a bad odour such as shoe rack, dustbin, or diaper bin, among others.
- Clean the Outdoor Unit
Remove any dirt from around the outdoor unit and clean it with water. This will ensure better functioning of the blower and omit the chance of bad odour coming from particles stuck on the unit.
- Change AC Mode During High Humidity
When the humidity level increases, use the WindFree™ AC in ‘Dry’ Mode for dehumidification of the room. In this process, moisture is pulled from the air, condensed and subsequently dry breeze is released around the room. This keeps the air in the room refreshed, and helps you enjoy a dry and cool environment.
