Samsung India’s Digithon 2024, the company’s flagship digital innovation challenge, concluded on a high note, celebrating bold ideas and out-of-the-box thinking. Designed to empower employees and build a future-ready workforce, Digithon is a platform for solving real-world business challenges with a “Digital First” mindset, aligning with Samsung’s commitment to nurturing creativity and fostering a culture of innovation.

This year, 83 teams from across the Southwest Asia region nominated, tackling diverse business problems. From reimagining customer experiences with hyper-personalized solutions to creating seamless, connected ecosystems, the challenges were as varied as they were ambitious. Teams presented solutions to enhance enterprise B2B sales, improve customer engagement through Samsung’s SmartThings app, and design advanced CRM platforms for more meaningful interactions.

The grand finale brought together the most promising ideas, with finalists presenting their innovative solutions to senior leaders.

“At Samsung, innovation is part of our DNA. Through Digithon, we not only encourage creativity but also give our employees the opportunity to turn their ideas into impactful solutions,” said Rishabh Nagpal, Head of the People Team, Samsung India.

The Eureka Squad—comprising Prabhat Singh, Kanishk Aggarwal, and Antriksh Dadhich—took the top spot with their customizable virtual platform for One Samsung products, aimed at boosting cross-enterprise B2B sales.

The IntelliDiag team, featuring Simi Bhat, Jatadhar Pandey, and Poorva Gandhi, impressed with their enhancements to the SmartThings app, earning the second position.

Meanwhile, the Silo Demolition Squad, represented by Sameer Phalnikar and Abhishek Dutta, secured third place for their concept of a real-time, hyper-personalized CRM system.

Beyond providing recognition, these solutions will be evaluated for feasibility and integration into Samsung’s operations. Select ideas may soon transform into tangible business innovations.

Participants Reflect on the Journey

“Being a finalist in the Digithon competition was an inspiring experience, showcasing innovation and excellence while connecting with the best in technology and creativity,” said Abhishek from Silo Demolition Squad.

“Digithon is a thrilling event that fuels the fire of innovation across the entire organization and it’s a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our brilliant ideas to everyone,” said Kanish Aggarwal from Eureka Squad.

“This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication we as a team put in. It feels great to be recognized for our efforts, and we are all extremely proud of this accomplishment,” said Simi Bhat from Intellidiag.

Building a Culture of Creativity

With a structured 10-hour virtual training program, participants were equipped with the tools to refine their ideas and confidently present them. The initiative doesn’t just end at the finale—it sets the stage for long-term growth by offering employees a platform to innovate, network, and contribute to Samsung’s mission of staying future-ready.

As Samsung Digithon 2024 comes to a close, it leaves behind a legacy of inspiration and innovation, reaffirming the company’s commitment to empowering its greatest asset—its people.
