Samsung celebrated Nanum Day this year with a heartwarming and interactive initiative — the “Make a Wish Come True” Donation Drive — bringing joy, creativity, and inspiration to the workplace. As part of the celebration, 51 children, aged 6 to 13, spent a memorable day at Samsung’s Gurugram office, sharing their dreams, creating art, and interacting with employees.  “Nanum” means “sharing” in Korean, reflecting the value of giving that defines this initiative.

The highlight of the event was the children’s creation of 100 handmade ‘Wish Cards’, each reflecting a personal dream — from becoming a doctor or teacher to owning a cricket bat or learning something new. These colourful and heartfelt cards were displayed in the office and placed next to the Nanum Kiosk, inviting employees to pick a card and contribute to making a child’s wish come true.

Employees were encouraged to participate by visiting the kiosk on 13 and 14 November 2025, choosing a Wish Card to contribute toward fulfilling that child’s wish. Each contribution symbolised a simple but meaningful act of sharing.’

Celebrate the spirit of sharing

To support their learning journey, Samsung also presented the visiting children with School Ready Kits, packed with essential stationery and supplies. Children later shared their reflections on the experience, expressing their excitement about visiting Samsung, making art, and seeing employees choose and support their dreams.

A special moment of the day was the interaction between the children and SP Chun, Corporate Vice President, Samsung Southwest Asia. Addressing the young visitors with warmth and encouragement, he said: “You are all superstars! There is magic inside each one of you. You can become anything you want — a doctor, teacher, engineer, cricketer or even a YouTuber! The secret is simple: study with your heart. If you work hard, your dreams will come true.”

“When you grow, India grows. At Samsung, we always want you to learn, stay happy and keep smiling. Your dreams are our dreams.”

His message left the children inspired and energized, reinforcing the importance of learning, dreaming big, and believing in themselves.

Through the “Make a Wish Come True” Donation Drive, Samsung employees came together to create an atmosphere of hope and generosity, making Nanum Day a meaningful celebration of sharing.

By contributing to a child’s wish, employees not only supported their dreams but also embraced the spirit of Nanum — giving joy and inspiring the next generation.
