Samsung believes in building and progressing with a company culture that respects and believes in the idea that diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) is essential to continued innovation and excellence. Samsung has constantly given platforms to its female employees and demonstrated how a company can embrace equity inside and out.

Samsung India has always been at the forefront of showcasing and rewarding the remarkable achievements of women employees. By pursuing excellence in several aspects of business, learning and development, these women are breaking down barriers and showing how women can become leaders of today and tomorrow.

To truly make the culture at Samsung India inclusive, and to equip young women with a leadership skillset, Samsung recently introduced ‘sheLEADS’, a 12-week leadership development intervention for high potential women talent at Samsung. The program identifies, develops and empowers women employees to take up leadership positions within Samsung and impact change.

As a global leader in technology and innovation, Samsung aims to lead by example and advocate for gender equality and the empowerment of all women in the workplace. Research shows that workplaces that excel in DEI drive better outcomes for businesses, including better employee engagement, talent retention and higher financial achievements.

The 20 participants chosen to be a part of the ‘sheLEADS’ program are Shailja Mutreja, Nidhi Bhan, Anjalee Erathna, Manisha Gambhir, Sukhvinder Sharma, Jyoti Mehra, Richa Dewan Malik, Ruchi Sharma, Swati Singh, Misha Mehndiratta Chugh, Arjoo Karki, Jayshree Dewri Bharali, Meghna Mishra, Aditi Thakur Shailaja Pathania, Karina Sudarsan, Shagun Prabhakar, Neha Dhingra, Garima Lodha and Simi Bhat. This cohort brings with them a rich and diverse experience across multiple functions within Samsung with experience ranging from 5 – 20 years.

With ‘sheLeads’ development program, the employees will be able to create a space that goes beyond being just a workplace and fosters employees’ growth by letting them unleash their full potential as leaders. Samsung’s move towards making an organization where employees and the company can grow together is accelerating the steps towards a more inclusive future.
