Samsung India Launches the Superfast, Super Secure, Portable SSD T5 That Fits In Your Palm

T5 is Samsung’s newest portable solid state drive (PSSD) that allows for data transfers at the blink of an eye compared to conventional external hard drives. And this speed comes encased in a very sleek looking shockproof metal package that weighs a mere 51 grams, comfortably fitting in the palm of your hand.

The latest 64-layer V-NAND technology from Samsung, a world leader in memory technology, enables T5 to deliver industry-leading transfer speeds with encrypted data security in a compact and durable design, making it easier than ever for consumers to access their most valuable data anywhere, at any time.

The T5 will come in 1TB, 2TB, 250GB and 500GB models with blazing data transfer speeds of up 540 MB/s.

The new T5 is designed especially for power users such as content creators, media professionals, technology enthusiasts, business and IT professionals as well as mainstream consumers to give instant, easy access to data.

Unlike conventional external hard drives, the T5 offers peace of mind as it can withstand accidental drops of up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) as it has no moving parts combined with its shock-resistant internal frame.

With the T5, you can seamlessly store, access and transfer data across multiple operating systems and devices with optional data protection based on AES 256-bit hardware encryption. A mobile app is also available for Android smartphones and tablets for better convenience. The latest USB Type-C port and connection cable make it easy to use across numerous devices.

Price & Availability

The T5 will be available in two distinct metal finishes – Deep Black (1TB and 2TB models) and Alluring Blue (250GB and 500GB models). It will be available at all major retail outlets from August 28 onwards. The 250 GB version will cost INR 13,500, the 500 GB one will come at INR 21,000, 1 TB for INR 40,000 and the 2TB for INR 80,000.
