Samsung is India’s ‘Most Trusted’ Mobile and Consumer Durables Brand

Samsung India ranked number one in the Mobile Handsets/Tablets and Consumer Durables categories in the ‘Most Trusted Brands 2016’ annual survey, conducted by The Economic Times – Brand Equity and research firm Nielsen. The Economic Times is the world’s second-most widely read English-language business newspaper.

 

Overall, Samsung Mobile was ranked as the second ‘Most Trusted’ brand among all brands in India, a huge leap from the 16th position it was at in 2015.

 

Samsung Mobile also leads the rankings in Quality and Price categories at an individual brand attribute level, while it is second in Brand Familiarity, Overall Opinion, Recommendation and Meets Needs parameters. A total of 372 brands were considered for this year’s survey which was conducted across 12 cities.

 

Commenting on the rankings, Ranjivjit Singh, Chief Marketing Officer, Samsung India, said, “We are delighted to receive this honour from our customers who have placed their trust in Samsung. Being ranked as the most trusted brand further strengthens our commitment towards our customers who have helped us achieve such a milestone.”

 

“We have been in India for the last 21 years and customers are always at the core of everything we do at Samsung. Our ear to ground approach led by innovative technologies across product and service categories have made Samsung a popular choice amongst customers. We will continue to do better and aim for the top position with the support of our consumers who have always stood behind the brand,” he said.

 

As part of the survey, a total of 6,595 respondents were surveyed across Delhi NCR, Chandigarh and Lucknow in the North Zone, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar and Patna in the East Zone, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Indore in the West Zone and Chennai, Bengaluru and Vijayawada in the South Zone.

 

Samsung began its journey in India in 1995, and in over two decades, it has grown into one of the country’s biggest consumer product companies, with 2 factories, 3 R&D centres, 1 design centre, 1.5 lakh retail outlets and over 45,000 employees.
