Teams from Solve for Tomorrow Season 2 are Determined to Empower Education & Learning in India

India’s budding innovators are determined to address the gaps in the education system with their unique solutions. With 44% of ideas around ‘Education and Learning’ among Solve For Tomorrow’s top 30 teams of Season 2, the theme has emerged as the key concern among India’s Gen Z innovators. Meet the 12 teams from the Top 30 shortlisted teams of the second season who have the ambition to build groundbreaking solutions to better education and learning processes in India.

 

Yugantar                                                  

Team Yugantar comprises Vikas Kumar, Prerana Maurya, and Vinay Maurya from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. They seek to facilitate a feedback mechanism for the teachers to ensure quality education and better communication between students and teachers. They’re creating a feedback platform that brings teachers, students, and teacher-regulating bodies together. Representing team Yugantar, Vinay shared the team’s expectations from the national competition and said, “We expect to learn as much as possible through the boot camp at IIT, Delhi. We want to innovate and solve for a better India and start our own company in the future.”

 

Tiny Coder

Hailing from Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh, Tiny Coder is driven by Vinay Ramteke. He seeks to empower students in their higher education journey and make informed decisions. Vinay has conceptualized a comprehensive platform, ConnectEd, that offers school students virtual counseling with college students/mentors who can offer them personalized insights about their desired courses and colleges. He believes that this platform would bridge the gap between what is and what can be an average student’s course of life 

 

AI Aviators

Team AI Aviators from Basti, Uttar Pradesh, comprises Nilesh Tiwari, Hari Singh, and Ritesh Kumar. The trio wants to address the lack of personalized learning among students, especially those in rural areas. They have conceptualized an AI-driven virtual avatar that would offer one-on-one immersive learning for students from diverse backgrounds. Their AI will be trained using the open-sourced API (Application Programming Interface) keys to demonstrate concepts and engage with students.

 

Laper

Rohit Kumar of team Laper hails from Ranchi, Jharkhand. He wants to address the lack of comprehensive and quick solutions to programming problems. His innovation, the Laper App, is a digital platform that connects users with expert programmers for immediate and personalized assistance. Sharing his expectations from the competition, Rohit says, “This competition is an opportunity for me to turn my idea into a reality and effect a positive change. In the future, I want to build a startup based on my idea.”

 

Team Atlantis

Keshav Kumar, from Begusarai, Bihar, is the brain behind Team Atlantis. He wishes to bridge the skill gap among Indian graduates and ensure their employability in future-tech domains. Keshav conceptualized a training platform where anyone can acquire relevant skills in emerging domains and connect with skilled individuals for relevant job opportunities. Keshav shared his vision for the project, “I want to empower India’s youth in driving their careers through my platform.”
 


Feel and Learn

Feel and Learn is the brainchild of Ritabrata Roy Choudhury from Khurda, Odisha. He wants to eliminate the learning barriers faced by the visual and hearing impaired. His innovative idea, a Morse Code Communicator Watch, is designed to address the specific challenges faced by the visually and hearing impaired. Talking about their ambitions, Ritabrata said, “With SFT, I want to develop my model and make it market ready. I am excited about learning from IIT, Delhi professionals at the boot camp.” 

 

Nazariya

Nazariya is comprised of Delhiites Nishant Ola, Dhruv Gupta, and Ayush Baliyan. They wish to overcome barriers faced by visually impaired students in using traditional learning materials that exclude their specific needs. The team is creating an app dedicated to converting essential education materials into audio by seamlessly combining speech recognition and synchronized reading. 

 

Dynamic US

Shikriti Roshmi and Ujjal Dey from Assam are the bright minds behind Dynamic US. They wish to address the deteriorating academic performance among students due to distraction and procrastination. Their solution is an integrated study system through gamification of school courses with a series of popular games among the youth. 

 

Star Tech

Nenavath Sunil from Hyderabad, Telangana is the brain behind Star Tech. His quest is to address the challenge faced by the physically impaired in using traditional input devices such as a mouse or a keyboard. Nenavath has conceptualized an AI assistant that can understand natural language and personalize itself as per the needs of the differently abled. 

 

 

Team SwapBee

Team SwapBee is the brainchild of Saibindu Domala from Wardha, Maharashtra. She wants to address the gaps in India’s education system highlighted by the Covid pandemic. With her website and app, she seeks to create a community-driven education ecosystem that is resilient and modern in its outlook. SwapBee will function as a bridge between students and colleges, featuring student-led initiatives such as workshops and conferences.

 

Stemly

Team Stemly is driven by Yash Yadav from Nagpur, Maharashtra. Yash is determined to tackle stereotypes and gender bias in STEM education. He wishes to reduce the gender gap and expose more women to opportunities and resources in STEM-based jobs through his innovative conversational AI. This AI will offer personalized help to women pursuing careers in STEM, acting as a source of motivation and information.

 

Root

Team Root is the solo endeavor of Parveen Singh from Kozhikode, Kerala. Praveen wishes to address the challenges teenagers face in accessing quality education and maintaining a healthy balance with technology. With his solution, Root OS, he seeks to democratize access to quality education and promote responsible technology usage. He seeks to foster healthier online experiences and contribute to the overall well-being of teenagers.
