It’s that time of the year again when the much-loved Rand Show pops up and this year Samsung has got you covered

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, 28 March, 2018 – The very first Rand Show was held at the Old Wanderers cricket ground in November 1894, becoming the largest consumer exhibition in the Southern hemisphere. It has also become a much-anticipated annual event for families looking for a great day out of fun and great deals. From rollercoaster rides and live animals to antique cars and candy floss, there’s so much to see and do.

With all the activities available, there’s also a good chance you may drop your smartphone. In order to ensure your day doesn’t end in disaster, the Samsung service team will be at the Rand Show in full force, offering customers free software updates, discounted screen repairs and no labour charges for phone repairs. In addition, customers can stand a chance to win an extraordinary Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphone if they get a screen repair done at the Samsung Service Stand.

Richard Chetty, Director of Customer Service for Samsung South Africa, says, “We’re looking forward to participating in this wonderful tradition and offering our customers a peek at our new flagship devices, the Galaxy S9 and S9+, as well as showcasing our first-class customer service.”

Whether families are keen to experience the adrenaline-fueled helicopter and amusement park rides and spend time in the Animal Kingdom, or browse the myriad stands displaying the latest products and services on offer, there’s no doubt that fun will be had.

“Visitors can simply drop their phones off for repair at the Samsung stand and leave it behind while they continue enjoying the Rand Show’s sights and sounds,” concludes Chetty.

The Rand Show opens on Friday, the 30th of March at 10:00 and will remain open until 8th April, giving families ample opportunity to join in the fun and spend great quality time together.
