Samsung was thrilled to support the launch of Auracast at the iconic Sydney Opera House, making live performances more accessible for people with hearing loss. The introduction of Auracast at the Sydney Opera House follows a collaboration between GN, Hearing Australia, and National Acoustic Laboratories.

At the official launch event on 18 March 2025, guests – spanning key industry leaders, media and members of the deaf and hearing loss community – experienced how GN hearing aids, Samsung Galaxy Buds and Auri receivers can seamlessly connect to an Auracast broadcast, delivering enhanced audio for both hearing aid users and consumer audio devices.

GN has been working across the tech sector, including Samsung, to ensure hearing aid users have early access to this breakthrough technology in venues globally, including now the Sydney Opera House. Samsung is committed to the future of audio: one sound, any device, everyone connected, and with that mantra, attendees were able to experience the technology in action during a live string and vocal performance via GN hearing aids and Samsung Galaxy Buds.

In partnership with GN, Samsung is proud to be at the forefront of Bluetooth LE Audio, the core technology behind Auracast. GN is likeminded to Samsung, and a driver of innovation, as the leader in hearing technology. Samsung was honoured to play a small role at the event, with it a proud collaboration across Samsung’s Suwon Office, Samsung UK and Samsung Australia.
