About Samsung’s winning products
Neo QLED 8K QN900F Samsung Vision AI Smart TV (Product Design – Consumer Electronics)

Samsung’s Neo QLED 8K QN900F is the first Samsung TV to combine Samsung’s 8K picture and sound quality with a premium art experience via the Samsung Art Store[1]. Featuring anti-glare technology[2], a refined Metal Frame Design and Advanced Vision AI, the QN900F offers Australians a sophisticated blend of elevated design and ultra-premium performance. Building on the success of The Frame, this new Mini LED 8K TV fills a gap in the market for those seeking gallery style aesthetics with cutting-edge picture and sound, automatically adapting to user preferences for a truly immersive viewing experience.
Of the Neo QLED 8K QN900F Samsung Vision AI Smart TV, the Good Design Award jury said: “Samsung’s Neo QLED 8K QN900F is the first Samsung TV to combine Samsung’s 8K picture and sound quality with a premium art experience via the Samsung Art Store. The Jury really loves the frame design – congratulations on bringing such a thoughtful product to life. It’s been a long wait for the next evolution of the Frame TV, and this one delivers. The versatility is a standout feature, from the multiple display options to the way it integrates beautifully into designer interiors or homes where a traditional black screen might feel intrusive or unnecessary. It’s a nice premium product and the design embodies an array of technical innovations and incorporates them in a very compelling, humanistic and engaging user experience story. From Hardware (minimal and modern design and mounting), and materials to the offering of art (art store) that can be displayed – this is a smashing piece of design and technology. The product design proves that having the consumer in mind, technical innovation can elevate the user experience and product value.”
Q-series HW-QS700F – Winner: Good Design Award (Product Design – Consumer Electronics)
Samsung’s Q-Series HW-QS700F Convertible Soundbar delivers True 3.1.2 channel wireless Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound[3] whether placed on a table or mounted on a wall, ensuring consistent, high-quality audio and versatile placement for a variety of home setups.
Of the Q-series HW-QS700F, the Good Design Award jury said: “Samsung’s Q-series HW-QS700F is a convertible soundbar featuring a new gyro-sensor designed to deliver the same True 3.1.2 channel wireless Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound experience, whether mounted flush on a wall or placed flat on a table. The gyro sensor which changes the position in which it directs the fired sound is a super nice innovation. This design absolutely meets the high bar for good design. The form factor and its details all around are implemented very well. The most impressive distinguishing attributes are: flush mounting on the wall! Elimination of cables! Smaller form factor without reducing the sound quality! A simple clean design package with some quality details and features. Overall, a brilliant showcase of innovation and impact in this highly competitive category.”
Bespoke AI Heat Pump Combo – Winner: Good Design Award (Product Design – Domestic Appliances)

The Bespoke AI Heat Pump Combo is an all-in-one 18.5 kg smart washer and 10 kg smart heat pump dryer that combines ultra-large capacity with incredible technology[4][5]. Engineered to deliver powerful wash and dry performance in a single machine, it features AI OptiWash & Dry to optimise detergent and energy use[6], and AI Energy Mode[7] via the SmartThings App[8] to allow users to monitor their energy consumption and provide real-time monitoring and alerts. With WELS ratings and an intuitive 7-inch touchscreen interface, the Combo offers a streamlined, high performance laundry solution that meets the growing demand for efficient, multi-use appliances.
Of the Bespoke AI Heat Pump Combo, the Good Design Award jury said: “The Bespoke AI Heat Pump Combo is an all-in-one, ultra-large 18.5kg smart washer with a 10kg smart heat-pump dryer. It is designed for large families to wash and dry clothes without the need to transfer between two machines, saving time, and helping transform laundry day into a seamless experience. The execution of the UI panel looks elegant, discreet, minimal and feels right for this type of product. Care and attention to detail on user touchpoints is a big plus. Good translation of user insights into useful product features. The product presents a strong minimalist design aesthetic, which effectively communicates ease of use and suggests an experience where much of the cognitive load is handled by the system removing guesswork for the user. The large, clear screen and interface are promising. Overall, a well resolved and thoughtfully integrated product for modern households, combining two appliances into one to save time, space, and effort. Strong emphasis on energy efficiency and smart monitoring aligns with evolving user values. Commendable sustainability steps. This project truly sets a high benchmark for the Domestic Appliance category and the Samsung Design Team should be congratulated here.”
