Samsung MICRO LED display now available to residential customers in Australia

Samsung Electronics Australia has announced its MICRO LED technology is now available to order for residential customers in Australia. MICRO LED is available in Australia in three screen sizes – 89-inch, 101-inch and 110-inch – and is available from the Samsung online store. Australians can register their details via the Samsung website for pricing information and product support.


Samsung’s MICRO LED uses inorganic micrometre-sized LED chips that are slimmer than the width of a human hair to eliminate the backlight and colour filters utilised in conventional displays, with each microscopic RGB LED emitting pure light and colour. The display is self-illuminating, producing stunningly lifelike colours and brightness through its 24 million individually controlled, ultra-precise LEDs. The display also supports 20-bit greyscale depth which means that the MICRO LED can deliver a true High Dynamic Range experience through the finest control over 1 million steps of brightness and colour levels.

In 2018, Samsung introduced MICRO LED in the form of “The Wall”— a configurable system of modules that can reach an astounding 292-inches. With its inherent flexibility, “The Wall” requires professional installation and is best suited to commercial environments.


In 2022, Samsung brings the power of MICRO LED technology in the form factor of a traditional TV experience to Australian homes. Samsung MICRO LED offers an ultra-slim infinity design that virtually removes the bezel for a finish that blends into almost any wall.

The MICRO LED also comes with enhanced usability and customisation features, which include:


  • Art Mode – Turn any room into an art gallery by selecting and displaying iconic artwork or digital photography. The MICRO LED comes with two exclusive media pieces from noted artist and designer, Refik Anadol.
  • Smart Hub – Samsung’s familiar and powerful Smart TV is found in MICRO LED, putting content discovery at the heart of the next-gen display experience with all the most popular apps available.
  • Arena Sound – Experience a premier, immersive audio experience with top, side, and bottom channel speakers for breathtaking and multi-dimensional sound including Dolby Atmos sources.


Australians can keep up with multiple sports at once, or stream a walkthrough while playing a video game thanks to the in-built 4Vue (Quad View) feature. 4Vue transforms the MICRO LED display into four-screens-in-one, enabling consumers to watch up to four sources of content simultaneously. MICRO LED brings true-to-life picture quality at an enormous scale out-of-the-box.
