A new Samsung Electronics study reveals widespread exposure of personal content during public smartphone use across Europe. Surveying 11,000 people, the research found that 56% have accidentally viewed someone else’s screen, while 24% admitted doing so out of curiosity.

The findings highlight a gap between perceived and actual privacy. While 48% believe their phone use remains private in public, 52% say it is easy to see others’ screens. These everyday moments create an “accidental audience,” where sensitive information is exposed simply because screens are visible in public. Notably, 38% have delayed or avoided certain activities on their devices in public due to concerns about being observed.

The study also underscores the sensitivity of exposed content. One-third of respondents reported seeing personal information on others’ devices, including messages, photos, video calls and even financial details. Nearly half have felt that someone else was looking at their own screen, and 42% have stopped using their phone altogether in such situations.

To address these concerns, Samsung introduced Privacy Display on Galaxy S26 Ultra — a built-in feature that restricts screen visibility to direct viewing angles, helping safeguard sensitive information without compromising display quality. Combined with seven years of security updates, this innovation reinforces the company’s continued focus on real-world privacy protection.

Samsung Electronics has been named to Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2026 list, ranking No. 4 in the Consumer Electronics category and No. 7 in Corporate Social Responsibility. The recognition highlights Samsung’s continued advancements in AI and its efforts to integrate connected experiences across its product ecosystem.

In the Consumer Electronics category, the company was recognized for the Galaxy Z Fold7, which delivers a thinner, lighter design enhanced by Galaxy AI features such as real-time translation and advanced editing tools. The newly introduced Galaxy S26 series further expands these capabilities, offering more intelligent and tailored user experiences across flagship smartphones.

In the Corporate Social Responsibility category, the company was also recognized for Ocean Mode, a Galaxy camera feature developed to support coral reef monitoring and restoration. Introduced in collaboration with marine partners and now available on the Galaxy S26 series, the feature demonstrates how Samsung’s technology contributes to environmental conservation.

The company continues to advance AI-driven experiences in home entertainment. Samsung Vision AI Companion enables more interactive and responsive TV experiences, allowing users to control and experience content through natural language. The introduction of Micro RGB TVs is also a notable step forward for displays, offering enhanced color and realism across a wide range of screen sizes. This lineup complements Samsung’s broader 2026 TV portfolio, which includes Neo QLED, OLED and lifestyle models such as The Frame.

Across the connected home, Samsung has expanded SmartThings and its Bespoke AI appliance lineup to create adaptive living environments. Products such as Bespoke AI Refrigerators with AI Vision Inside support food management and meal planning, while SmartThings Energy features help optimize energy usage.

Beyond products, Samsung’s recognition in corporate social responsibility is a reflection of its broader commitment to sustainability and community impact. Initiatives such as Solve for Tomorrow support STEM education, helping thousands of schools with funding and resources. At the same time, solutions like AI Energy Mode and circular design programs contribute to reducing environmental impact.

Samsung Electronics has announced a collaboration to bring Lollapalooza Brazil 2026 to life with Galaxy S26 Ultra. In partnership with TV Globo, a major Brazilian television network, Samsung is demonstrating the device’s advanced camera capabilities at one of Brazil’s largest music events as part of the live broadcast across Globo’s TV channels and digital platforms.

This initiative, dubbed “POV Galaxy,” focuses on capturing Lollapalooza Brazil 2026 from the attendees’ perspectives, integrating user-generated content into professional broadcasts while showcasing its professional-level video and audio quality — even in challenging shooting environments such as live music festivals.

At the core of this experience are advanced camera features in Galaxy S26 Ultra. Enhanced Nightography Video delivers clear footage in low-light conditions through a wider aperture and Galaxy AI-powered processing. Super Steady’s horizontal lock feature ensures stable footage by combining optical and digital stabilization with intelligent horizon alignment, even while moving. The device also supports the Advanced Professional Video (APV) codec, designed for efficient compression while maintaining high visual quality across editing workflows.

As Samsung marks its seventh consecutive year at Lollapalooza Brazil 2026, the Galaxy S26 series enables fans to experience the festival from new perspectives, combining advanced camera technology with Galaxy AI to deliver intuitive tools for creativity and productivity.

Samsung Electronics has introduced its 32-inch Color E-Paper at Tegui Barra, a new dining concept by renowned Argentine chef Germán Martitegui, integrating digital signage into the restaurant’s design-focused experience.

Tegui was originally founded in 2009 and has earned international recognition. In 2025, the restaurant was relaunched as Tegui Barra in Buenos Aires’ Recoleta district as part of a multi-concept culinary space. The new iteration represents a more dynamic and open format, maintaining Tegui’s original identity while adopting a refreshed approach centered on design and customer experience.

Within this environment, Samsung’s Color E-Paper has replaced traditional printed menus. The solution delivers a paper-like visual aesthetic while enabling digital flexibility, allowing the restaurant to easily and efficiently update menu content with minimal energy consumption. This approach eliminates the need for QR codes or mobile devices, preserving a seamless dining experience aligned with Tegui’s visual identity.

“We explored many options: we considered a chalkboard, but we weren’t convinced by the chalk; QR codes seemed inconvenient, and being a sustainable restaurant, printing menus on paper every day wasn’t an option either.

Finally, with Samsung Color E-Paper, we found an ally that allows us to maintain our identity and aesthetic, while also changing the menu very easily.”

— Germán Martitegui, chef and founder of Tegui

Color E-Paper operates without backlighting and the display maintains a static image with zero watts of power, reducing unnecessary energy usage without compromising reliability.1 When content is updated, overall energy use remains far lower than that of conventional digital signage, which helps lower operating costs over time. With a rechargeable, embedded battery and USB Type-C support options, the display can be deployed without permanent power cables. Its ultra-thin and lightweight design, weighing approximately 2.5kg with the battery, allows for versatile installation without visible cabling, supporting clean and minimalist interiors.

By combining sustainability, design and technological innovation, the implementation of Color E-Paper at Tegui Barra demonstrates how digital signage can adapt to premium hospitality environments. This highlights Samsung’s continued expansion of Color E-Paper’s potential across industries like gastronomy and retail, offering solutions that balance efficiency, flexibility and visual appeal while enhancing customer experiences.

New research has revealed the significant scale of cybersecurity risks facing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the United Kingdom. The findings estimate that a single cyberattack could cost SMEs up to £100,000 in lost revenue and fines, underscoring the urgency of stronger security measures.

The survey of 1,000 SME owners showed that 21% of businesses still take a reactive approach to cybersecurity rather than a proactive one. At the same time, modern work habits have increased exposure to sensitive data as a growing number of employees now work remotely in public spaces.

Despite high awareness of common threats such as phishing, malware and unauthorized apps, one in five business owners reported they would not know if their device had been compromised. Financial readiness is also limited, with 69% of SMEs lacking dedicated funds or insurance to manage cyber incidents.

In response, Samsung Electronics has introduced the Galaxy S26 Ultra Enterprise Edition, designed with advanced security and privacy features for business users. The device includes a built-in Privacy Display to limit viewing angles and protect on-screen data in public settings, alongside Samsung Knox security for defense against cyber threats. Its AI-powered Personal Data Engine, combined with KEEP and Knox Vault, encrypts and stores sensitive information securely.

The survey’s findings highlight the growing need for SMEs to adopt proactive cybersecurity strategies. By integrating enterprise-grade protection directly into mobile devices, Samsung aims to help businesses safeguard sensitive data and adapt to increasingly flexible working environments.

Samsung Electronics launched the GalaxyBloom campaign in Mexico to celebrate the arrival of spring and the iconic jacaranda trees that color the country in shades of violet. Inspired by the signature color of the Galaxy S26 series, the initiative invited users to capture and share the beauty of jacarandas with their Galaxy devices from March 10 to April 12, turning seasonal scenery into a collaborative digital experience.

The campaign also introduced a competitive element, offering participants the opportunity to win a Galaxy S26 Ultra in Cobalt Violet — a color inspired by jacaranda blossoms — by submitting the photo that was both the most creative and most effectively used Galaxy’s device capabilities.

The GalaxyBloom campaign emphasizes the advanced camera and imaging features of the Galaxy S26 series, positioning the devices as tools capable of capturing vivid colors and fine details, while also highlighting how mobile technology can foster community engagement and celebrate local identity.

Samsung Electronics and Spanish fashion brand DOMINNICO have collaborated to create an exclusive handbag inspired by Galaxy S26 Ultra and Galaxy Buds4 Pro. The partnership merges Samsung’s technological innovation with DOMINNICO’s contemporary design language, highlighting how technology and fashion can intersect through creative design. The collaboration reflects a shared vision between the two brands while reinforcing connections between Spain’s fashion scene and Korea’s influence on global technology, culture and lifestyle trends.

The limited-edition bag features a handcrafted leather design with a baguette silhouette, which is one of the most prominent fashion trends today. Presented in an off-white tone, the accessory combines a minimalist aesthetic with distinctive details that reflect DOMINNICO’s design identity. Adjustable straps, metallic closures and silver accents add character, while a metallic heart-shaped plaque displaying the DOMINNICO logo serves as a recognizable brand signature. A small movable mirror charm framed in leather completes the design, blending style and functionality while maintaining the brand’s avant-garde approach.

Technology plays a central role in the bag’s design. A dedicated front pocket was created specifically to accommodate Galaxy S26 Ultra, allowing the smartphone to be safely carried while remaining easily accessible. Additionally, the compartment supports privacy by allowing users to discreetly store the device when not in use, complementing the smartphone’s integrated Privacy Display feature. Several metallic eyelets placed along the handles visually reference the distinctive camera module of Galaxy S26 Ultra, translating one of the device’s most recognizable hardware elements into a fashion design detail.

The accessory also integrates the broader Galaxy ecosystem. The bag includes a removable case designed to hold Galaxy Buds4 or Galaxy Buds4 Pro, ensuring that users can conveniently carry their wireless earbuds as part of their everyday setup. The detachable piece can function either as an external charm attached to the bag or as an internal accessory, combining practicality with decorative appeal.

Produced following a slow fashion approach, the exclusive handcrafted bag is being released as a limited product, available for preorder through the official DOMINNICO website for €420, starting March 16. Through this collaboration, Samsung is expanding its presence beyond technology into lifestyle and design, demonstrating how mobile devices and accessories can influence contemporary fashion while offering users a stylish way to integrate their Galaxy ecosystem into daily life.

Samsung Electronics celebrated Holi in India with the local community through the #MyHoliStory campaign, an initiative launched on the Samsung Members app that invited users to share their personal festival experiences through photos and stories.

Built around the theme “Every color tells a story,” the campaign encouraged members to use Galaxy devices to capture and share moments reflecting the joy, memories and traditions associated with Holi — a traditional holiday celebrating love and the arrival of spring with colored powders (gulal), music, dancing and bonfires. The initiative transformed the platform into a vibrant digital celebration as users documented their unique festival moments.

Participants from across India captured photos with Galaxy devices and shared a wide range of festive moments, from playful gatherings with friends to meaningful family celebrations. The posts showcased colorful scenes filled with gulal, laughter and festive traditions, highlighting the emotional and cultural significance of Holi. Each contribution reflected different aspects of the festival, creating a visual tapestry of celebrations across the country.

The campaign strengthened engagement within the Samsung Members community, allowing members to interact with each other by commenting on posts, exchanging festive greetings and appreciating the diversity of Holi traditions. The initiative demonstrated how the Samsung Members app can function not only as a technology support hub but also as a social space where members connect through shared experiences.

As Samsung marks 30 years in India, the Samsung Members community continues to reflect the diversity and energy of the country. With members spanning different cities, cultures and backgrounds, the platform has become a place where users can connect through shared interests and experiences. Campaigns like #MyHoliStory highlight how digital platforms can bring people together while celebrating cultural traditions and personal stories.

Samsung Electronics has launched “Chile Expanding the Map,” an initiative designed to showcase remote and lesser-known locations across Chile that do not appear on digital maps. The project encourages participants to explore hard-to-access areas and capture them using the advanced camera capabilities of Galaxy S26 Ultra. The images are then uploaded to Google Street View, expanding virtual access to landscapes that have remained largely invisible online.

San Pedro de Atacama marked the starting point of the initiative. Known as one of Chile’s most iconic and photographed destinations, the region provided a striking backdrop for the first explorations. Through curated desert experiences, participants captured landscapes using a range of photography and video techniques, focusing on locations and angles that are often overlooked by tourists.

Images from these experiences highlight the unique textures and colors of the Atacama Desert, emphasizing how Galaxy S26 Ultra captures detailed nighttime photos with its enhanced Nightography and expansive landscape shots. By contributing these visuals to Google Street View, the initiative has begun building a richer and more inclusive digital representation of Chile’s geography.

San Pedro de Atacama represents only the beginning. “Chile Expanding the Map” is set to expand to other regions, gradually creating a visual route that documents landscapes still missing from digital platforms. Through this growing archive, Samsung aims to redefine how people explore Chile — demonstrating that some of the country’s most extraordinary destinations are those that have yet to appear on the map.

Samsung Electronics has announced its role as Technology Partner for the exhibition “The Revolution of the Ring – Visconti Ronconi Chéreau,” hosted at the Museo Teatrale alla Scala in Milan from January 31 to May 3, 2026. Curated by Giovanni Agosti, with installation design by Margherita Palli, the exhibition explores the profound transformation of Richard Wagner’s “Ring des Nibelungen” opera in European theater throughout the 1970s. Through restored library spaces within the museum, visitors can discover key milestones in the evolution of theatrical imagery, shaped by visionary directors such as Luchino Visconti, Luca Ronconi and Patrice Chéreau, who redefined the visual and narrative language of Wagnerian opera.

As Technology Partner, Samsung provided advanced audiovisual solutions designed to enhance the exhibition’s historical and multimedia content. The installation integrates The Frame, Samsung’s 4K Lifestyle TV, which combines refined design with high-performance display technology, delivering vivid colors and precise detail.

The sound experience has also been strengthened through the integration of Music Frame, a customizable speaker featuring front panels adapted with photographic prints dedicated to the exhibition. The sophisticated design enables harmonization with the exhibition path while amplifying the dialogue between image, sound and narrative. The Ultra Slim Soundbar further enhances audio performance with Dolby Atmos support, delivering immersive, three-dimensional sound. Its discreet design and wireless connectivity ensure flexibility without compromising the aesthetic balance of the museum space.

The exhibition also features The Premiere 9 laser projector, capable of projecting ultra-high-definition images up to 130 inches wide with precise color rendering and high brightness, even in well-lit environments. Its ultra-short-throw technology enables close-to-wall installation, offering greater design freedom. Additional display solutions include Samsung’s ultra-slim 4K UHD signage QBC Series, designed to blend seamlessly into various business environments, and the Essential Series S40GD monitor, which ensures accurate colors and wide viewing angles.

Through its technological contribution to this cutting-edge exhibition, Samsung is reaffirming its commitment to enriching cultural experiences by combining innovation, design and immersive storytelling.

Samsung Art Store has expanded its digital gallery with the addition of more than 20 works by Tamara de Lempicka, one of the most recognizable artists of the 20th century. The collection features a selection of her iconic portraits and Art Deco compositions, now available in 4K resolution on Samsung Micro RGB TVs, Micro LED TVs and OLED TV(*S95H model only).

Born in Warsaw in 1898 as Tamara Gurwik-Górska, Lempicka became a defining figure of the Art Deco movement, known for combining modernity, luxury and the geometric precision of form. Her paintings, including the widely recognized portrait of a woman in a green dress and hat, have appeared across popular culture for decades. Today, her works are held in leading institutions such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, while continuing to achieve record prices at international auctions.

Samsung Art Store is available on Samsung Micro RGB TVs, Micro LED TVs, as well as OLED TV(*S95H model only). Designed to blend technology with aesthetics, The Frame features a slim, picture-frame-inspired design and Matte Display technology that reduces reflections and mimics the texture of canvas, transforming the TV into a decorative art piece when turned off.

With over 5,000 artworks from more than 50 partners and hundreds of international artists, Samsung Art Store continues to broaden access to global culture. By introducing Tamara de Lempicka’s collection, Samsung is further strengthening its commitment to delivering premium visual experiences that combine art, innovation and design in everyday living spaces.

A Samsung television manufactured in 1987 and sold in Guatemala has completed an extraordinary journey back to the company’s regional headquarters in Panama as part of the Eco Trade-In program, serving as a powerful symbol of long-lasting product quality and sustainable consumption.

The television had been part of a Guatemalan household for 39 years, where it was used daily for news, entertainment and family gatherings. Purchased at a time when Samsung was still establishing its presence in the local market, the device became a constant presence across generations, accompanying major global events and everyday moments alike. Its continued functionality after nearly four decades highlights the durability of Samsung’s engineering during the late 1980s, a legacy that remains evident today.

When the television was handed in at a local store as part of Eco Trade-In, its remarkable condition surprised technical staff. As a result, the device was sent to Samsung Electronics Latin America (SELA) regional headquarters in Panama City, where engineers carefully restored it. Some of the engineers involved had never seen the model before, making the process both a technical and historical exercise. Once restored, the television was fully operational and capable of displaying a clear image, underscoring the longevity of its original design.

The restored television later attracted attention beyond the region, sparking interest and pride at Samsung’s global headquarters in Suwon, Korea. The device now serves as an exhibit piece that reflects the company’s long-term approach to product design, which balances innovation with reliability. It helps reinforce the notion that while technology continues to evolve rapidly, foundational principles such as quality remain constant.

The story also highlights the purpose of Eco Trade-In, which allows consumers to exchange old devices toward new products. As part of Samsung’s ESG strategy, the program aims to reduce electronic waste and promote responsible disposal while encouraging upgrades to modern technology. By returning the television through this initiative, the device’s lifecycle was closed in a sustainable way, connecting past, present, and future through responsible innovation.

Samsung Electronics recently returned to BETT 2026, the world’s largest education exhibition, held from January 21 to 23 at ExCeL London, to showcase its vision of connected learning for every mind.

At the event, Samsung demonstrated how its AI-enabled, connected education ecosystem can support teachers and students across diverse learning environments, from primary and secondary education to further and higher education. The showcase emphasized personalized learning, improved productivity and streamlined classroom management through practical, scalable solutions.

Samsung’s presence at BETT 2026 also reinforced its commitment to the United Kingdom education sector and its role as a long-term partner for educators. With more than 35,000 education professionals and over 600 companies attending, the exhibition provided a platform for Samsung to highlight how technology can adapt to different learning styles, abilities and teaching approaches.

At the center of Samsung’s stand was a mock classroom, where visitors could participate in live demonstrations and scheduled sessions led by Samsung education specialists and industry speakers. These sessions focused on real classroom scenarios, illustrating how connected devices work together rather than showcasing standalone technologies. Through hands-on experiences, visitors explored the company’s education offerings across three core areas:

Mobile & Computing: Tablets, laptops and education-ready devices such as the Galaxy Book6 Series, designed to support lesson planning, content creation, collaboration, and hybrid learning.

Immersive Technology: Galaxy XR use cases demonstrating how experiential technologies can enhance engagement and bring subjects to life.

Display Solutions: Interactive whiteboards and large-format LED displays, including the latest WEFX and Flip WMFX, equipped with AI-enabled tools such as Circle to Search and AI Classroom Assistant to support smarter classroom management.

Beyond classroom technology, Samsung also showcased its Solve for Tomorrow program, a year-round initiative that helps young people develop future-ready skills and apply technology to real-world challenges. Overall, the company’s participation at the event underscored its long-term commitment to education through secure, intuitive solutions that enable connected learning environments where educators and students can thrive.

Samsung Electronics has secured the No. 1 position in annual sales volume in the Android smartphone category at BCN AWARD 2026, reaffirming its strong market presence in Japan. The recognition was based on cumulative sales performance throughout 2025 and highlights Samsung’s continued competitiveness across a broad smartphone portfolio.

The BCN AWARD is determined using the BCN Ranking, which aggregates actual point-of-sale information collected from approximately 2,350 major electronics retailers, computer specialty stores, and online shops across Japan. The evaluation covered the full period from January 1 to December 31, 2025, ensuring that the results reflected sustained sales momentum rather than short-term performance.

Samsung’s top ranking was driven by the strength and diversity of its Galaxy smartphone lineup. Key contributors included Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, Samsung’s latest generation of foldable smartphones that combine advanced design and camera performance with AI-powered features. Notably, Galaxy Z Fold7 is the thinnest and lightest horizontally folding smartphone ever released in Japan.

The Galaxy S25 series also played a central role in Samsung’s performance, positioning itself as a next-generation AI smartphone lineup that was the first to incorporate an AI agent. Additionally, Galaxy A25 5G supported Samsung’s sales volume with its large display and accessibility, catering to users focused on video consumption and social media use.

Samsung Electronics received nine awards at the Tech Awards 2025, earning recognition across a wide range of product categories.

Organized by Komputer Świat, one of Poland’s leading technology publications, the Tech Awards honor products and solutions that contribute to technological advancement. Winners are selected through a two-stage process — an editorial evaluation based on innovation, quality and relevance, followed by a public online vote.

Voting began in early November 2025 and spanned nine main categories, more than 20 subcategories and a special award. This year’s rankings recognized products across televisions, smartphones, home appliances, monitors and more.

Samsung received the following awards:

TVs and Projectors – Premium TV – Samsung OLED S95F

TVs and Projectors – Midrange TV – Samsung Neo QLED Mini LED QN90F

Audio – Soundbar – Samsung HW-Q990F

Gaming – Gaming Monitor – Samsung Odyssey 3D G90XF

Smartphones – Premium Class – Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Smartphones – Midrange – Samsung Galaxy A56

Artificial Intelligence – Tools – Galaxy AI

Smart Life – Home – Samsung Bespoke AI WF90F09C4SU4

PC Components – SSD Drive – Samsung 9100 Pro

The results reflect Samsung’s position as a brand delivering a comprehensive and connected ecosystem, spanning mobile devices, audio-visual solutions, gaming, home appliances and AI. The company’s performance follows six wins at the Tech Awards 2024, as well as recognition as Leader of the Decade.

Samsung Electronics has expanded its partnership with Unrivaled, the professional women’s 3-on-3 basketball league, ahead of the tipoff of its second season on January 5, 2026. Returning as official technology and presenting partner, Samsung is deepening its support for Unrivaled, its athletes and its growing fan base through technology-driven performance tools, content creation and fan engagement initiatives.

Founded in 2023 by Women’s National Basketball Association stars and #TeamGalaxy members Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, Unrivaled is focused on athlete empowerment and innovation. Building on momentum from its inaugural season, Samsung has extended its involvement into Unrivaled’s 2026 training camp, equipping players with Galaxy Watch8 devices to support physical readiness, recovery and performance tracking. The devices allow athletes to monitor metrics such as heart rate, energy levels and sleep — helping them balance intense training with effective rest.

Samsung will also launch “Rest Day with Me,” a social content series featuring Unrivaled athletes including Stewart, Collier, Kate Martin, Lexie Hull and Rickea Jackson. The series highlights how Galaxy wearables and Samsung Health support athletes’ preparation routines, rest days and recovery ahead of the season, offering fans an inside look at how elite players optimize performance.

As in the inaugural season, Galaxy wearables will be integrated into team training programs — providing data on movement, activity patterns, heart rate and blood oxygen levels. Coaching and training staff will also use Galaxy tablets to access real-time performance insights, supporting data-informed decisions. Samsung Galaxy technology will further enhance the fan experience, with features such as Galaxy S25 Ultra’s Instant Slow-mo capturing key plays and moments for broadcasts and social platforms.

New for the second season is the Samsung Courtside Crew, a dedicated social content team powered by Galaxy technology. The team will capture on- and off-court content that reflects Unrivaled’s creative identity and brings fans closer to the action.

Custom Courtside Crew jackets designed by LaQuan Smith further highlight the collaboration, with a limited number planned for public release.

Samsung has also unveiled the Samsung Rest Club at Unrivaled’s Miami facility, a recovery space designed to support physical and mental well-being. The space features advanced recovery tools, including hyperbaric oxygen chambers, massage treatments and immersive experiences powered by Galaxy XR, Galaxy tablets and Galaxy Buds, along with mindfulness content developed with Calm. Throughout the season, behind-the-scenes content from the Rest Club will offer fans insight into how athletes recharge between games.

The Unrivaled season kicks off at Sephora Arena in Miami on January 5 and runs from January through March 2026. Games will air live on TNT and truTV and stream on HBO Max, with 48 players across eight clubs competing in a fast-paced 3-on-3 format.

Samsung Electronics has strengthened its partnership with the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg (Hockenheimring) in Germany by equipping one of the world’s most renowned racetracks with the company’s comprehensive digital signage ecosystem. For the past two years, Samsung LCD signage displays have been installed throughout the 97-hectare site — from the Welcome Center and VIP areas to the pit lane and race control. All displays are centrally managed via Samsung’s MagicINFO Cloud digital signage software, enabling flexible, real-time communication tailored to diverse events and audiences.

Since its opening in 1932, the Hockenheimring has been a landmark of international motorsport, hosting historic motorcycle races, Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) championship events, the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM) and numerous Formula 1 races. Beyond motorsport, the venue now welcomes visitors for concerts, corporate events and track days, drawing up to 700,000 guests each year. Samsung’s display solutions have been integrated to support this broad range of activities while preserving the site’s iconic design.

Inside the Welcome Center’s 360-square-meter space, 18 Samsung LCD signage displays provide dynamic information about events, ticketing and the circuit’s history. Two double-sided 55-inch OMN-D series displays are positioned in shop windows, delivering ultra-bright content to outdoor viewers while maintaining reduced brightness for indoor viewers. Additional large-format 98-inch screens greet guests at the entrance, and Samsung QMC series displays with glare-free UHD panels are embedded throughout the interior, blending seamlessly into the architecture.

Behind the scenes, Samsung MagicINFO Cloud acts as the digital engine powering the system. The software allows staff from different departments to create, schedule and manage content using provided templates. This approach streamlines operations, ensures consistent branding and enables timely updates across all displays without requiring advanced IT expertise.

As the Hockenheimring enters a new phase of modernization, Samsung will continue to provide next-generation screens to expand the racing circuit’s capabilities and elevate the overall experience for motorsports fans and visitors around the world.

Ahead of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, Samsung Electronics Italy released the latest Samsung Trend Radar, highlighting how technology is shaping Italians’ expectations for the event. According to the report, 77% of Italians take pride in the Olympic Games being held in Italy, and 60% expect long-term regional benefits.

The study shows how Italians associate the Olympic Games with values such as commitment (50%), national pride (47%) and unity (46%). Athletes are seen as symbols of determination (46%) and as positive role models for younger generations (40%). These themes increasingly connect with technology, which is expanding how sports stories are accessed and shared.

Technology has become central to how Italians follow the Winter Olympics. Many now watch the Olympic Games using smartphones and tablets, and nearly half (46%) feel they no longer need live broadcasts to stay updated. Respondents also express strong interest in digital features for the event, including an official app with real-time notifications (64%), augmented-reality experiences (57%) and virtual-reality experiences (52%). These preferences show that younger audiences now seek more immersive and creative ways to enjoy the competitions.

New consumption habits have turned sport into an ongoing experience. On-demand replays are seen as essential, while short, shareable clips have become a preferred format for many (26%) — especially among millennials (35%) and Gen Z (32%). This shift reflects broader changes in how sports content is discovered, consumed and shared across platforms.

Within this evolving landscape, Galaxy Z Flip7 is spotlighted as an ideal mobile companion for experiencing and capturing the excitement of the Olympic Games. Its foldable design and FlexMode allow users to record moments from various angles, supporting both storytelling and spontaneous sharing at ceremonies, training sessions and behind-the-scenes moments.

As Italy prepares for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, Samsung’s Trend Radar report underscores how innovation is reshaping national engagement. Building on this vision, Samsung will continue to shape how people connect, strengthen inclusivity and enrich shared enjoyment, reinforcing the Olympic Games as a symbol of progress and athletic excellence.

Upon arrival, students were welcomed by Samsung Electronics and Glasswing International staff into a warm and supportive environment. The visit gave them an opportunity to explore Panama’s engineering landmarks and historical sites, prompting reflections on the power of infrastructure and its potential to drive social impact.

Exploring the city together helped the finalists connect on a personal level. Shared meals and local cuisine became moments for the teams to exchange experiences, discuss their project ideas and learn from one another. Although each team faced different challenges in their respective communities, they all shared the same goal — using science and technology to build solutions that can truly support their communities.

Presenting their projects to the jury became a defining moment for many participants. The Ecuadorian team shared how stepping onto an international stage boosted their confidence and encouraged them to pursue their goals. The opportunity allowed all five teams to showcase the creativity, technical skills and social awareness behind their proposals.

The diversity of the solutions highlighted the program’s regional relevance. From Costa Rica’s agriculture-focused technology to Ecuador’s environmental sanitation proposal, Paraguay’s floating bicycles for river cleanup, Trinidad and Tobago’s community flood alert system and Venezuela’s socially oriented robotics initiative, the projects demonstrated that innovation thrives when different perspectives meet.

The experience in Panama reinforced the idea that Solve for Tomorrow is more than a competition — it’s a developmental journey. The finalists returned home with a broader vision of what they can achieve and a renewed commitment to creating meaningful impact through technology, reflecting the program’s role in empowering future innovators.

On November 29, Samsung Electronics demonstrated how Galaxy S25 FE can transform a night run into a creative storytelling challenge at the NightstFEt relay event. Hosted at Madya Stadium within the Gelora Bung Karno complex in Jakarta, the event brought together 27 teams and more than 100 runners for a 4x100m relay — centered not on speed, but on producing standout on-the-move content. Each participant carried a Galaxy S25 FE as the team “baton,” using its camera and Galaxy AI features to capture, edit and share every moment.

Participants were divided into four creative roles, with each runner highlighting a different capability of Galaxy S25 FE. The first runner, acting as the “Selfie Guru,” leveraged the 12MP front camera to capture the vibrant moments of the team at the starting line. The second runner focused on action shots and used Generative Edit to refine compositions and add playful elements, resulting in content that blended movement and personality. The third runner recorded videos along the track, utilizing Audio Eraser to keep voices clear while filtering out stadium noise, and Nightography to ensure bright, sharp footage even in minimal light. The final runner added cinematic flair using Instant Slow-mo, capturing expressive finishes and dramatic gestures in high detail.

By combining these four feature sets, each team produced its own sequence of spontaneous and visually engaging clips. During the relay, participants experimented with camera angles, gestures and storytelling techniques, reinforcing NightstaFEt as an event built around creativity and expression. The lively environment — from stadium lights to crowd energy — amplified the atmosphere and helped users showcase Galaxy S25 FE’s versatile capabilities.

Throughout the event, Samsung underscored its commitment to empowering active and creative lifestyles through meaningful innovation. The event blended sports, community and interactive storytelling, showing participants how Samsung’s camera capabilities and Galaxy AI features can elevate everyday experiences.

Samsung Electronics has introduced “Verkligheten,” a new pop-up Reality Bar in Stockholm designed to give fans a dedicated space to enjoy reality TV. The initiative grew out of a social media trend in Sweden that questioned why sports bars are everywhere while no similar venue celebrates reality TV — one of the country’s most widely discussed entertainment genres. By combining its expertise in display technology with the cultural moment, Samsung created a space where people can gather to enjoy and share the emotions, drama and memorable moments that define reality programming.

The concept follows the familiar role of sports bars as communal entertainment hubs, reimagined for a different audience. Reality TV continues to generate strong engagement season after season, both in Sweden and around the world. In response, Samsung partnered with Lykke Nytorget, a bar in the Södermalm district of Stockholm, to create Verkligheten and transform the online conversation into an in-person experience where visitors can watch curated reality content together on Samsung screens.

Programming at Verkligheten features a mix of iconic and current reality shows, including content from Samsung TV Plus. Available at no extra cost on all Samsung Smart TVs, the service offers free ad-supported television (FAST) channels across a wide range of genres. In Sweden, Samsung TV Plus has significantly expanded its catalog, giving viewers access to popular reality-focused channels like “World of Love Island” and the “Project Runway.” By integrating Samsung TV Plus into the venue, Samsung is highlighting the platform’s growing relevance and variety for fans of unscripted entertainment.

Verkligheten functions as a pop-up space at Lykke Nytorget, operating from November 25 to December 16 between 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. CET. The venue gives visitors the chance to experience reality TV together in an environment designed to spark conversation and build community around shared viewing.

Samsung Electronics brought a creative twist to one of London’s trendiest weekend markets by showcasing The Frame at the Birchmere Park car boot sale, which is a United Kingdom version of a flea market. The event highlighted the TV’s ability to double as a digital art frame and offer access to an extensive library of iconic artworks. By placing the lifestyle TV among vintage items, Samsung demonstrated how easily premium art experiences that aren’t always accessible to everyone can be brought into everyday homes at an accessible price point.

The appearance aligned with a rising wave of art appreciation across the U.K., particularly among younger audiences. Recent research has shown that 85% of people under 28 considered art one of their major interests, with many now preferring gallery visits over nightlife. Interest extended across all age groups: a majority of adults reported they would rather view art than watch sports, and many said they would choose to visit a gallery over shopping.

The Frame addresses this shift by providing access to more than 4,000 artworks through Samsung Art Store. The platform features pieces from globally renowned museums and artists — including Monet, Van Gogh and Matisse — along with monthly selections of free curated art. Research has also found that more than half of British consumers had a favorite painting, with classics like the “Mona Lisa”, “Sunflowers”, “The Last Supper”, “Starry Night” and “The Scream” topping the list.

Samsung’s lifestyle TVs support a growing preference for displaying art at home, with many consumers wishing they could invest more in décor and personal expression. The Frame and The Frame Pro have made this aspiration more achievable, offering QLED or Neo QLED screens, Pantone Validated colors and glare-free Matte Displays for an authentic viewing experience. The Frame Pro further enhances home aesthetics with a wireless connection option that enables users to position external devices up to 10 meters away, keeping the display area clean.

Over the past five years, Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow program in Kazakhstan has supported numerous youth-led innovations in various fields, from medicine to sports, education and agriculture. A highlight among these is “Beelieve” — a smart beekeeping solution developed by three students from Taraz, a city in southern Kazakhstan. After earning third place in the 2024 competition, the team continued refining their modular hive-monitoring system, which tracks humidity, temperature, weight and bee activity while using AI to analyze hive conditions and enable remote management. Their project addresses major challenges facing beekeepers in the region, such as parasite outbreaks, pesticide exposure and environmental changes.

The team initially developed Beelieve based on extensive field research with local beekeepers, many of whom manage more than 100 hives and often rely on manual checks. These insights shaped their early prototypes and motivated them to persist through multiple attempts at Solve for Tomorrow before reaching the finals. Their participation provided important guidance in areas such as design thinking, as well as valuable networking opportunities with experts and peers. Following the competition, the students paused development to complete university entrance exams but resumed work in 2025.

Upon returning to the project, Beelieve achieved several milestones, including winning Infomatrix-Asia 2025 competition and joining United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)’s Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP). Through this accelerator, the team shifted from building full smart hives to designing modular units compatible with existing hive structures — a more cost-effective and scalable approach for beekeepers who already have established colonies. Prize funding from Solve for Tomorrow helped them refine their hardware and develop their own AI model for more advanced hive monitoring.

Beelieve’s momentum continued in October at the first AI Sana Generative Nation competition, held within the Digital Bridge International Forum. After progressing through several rounds, the team secured first place and a prize of 5 million tenge. They also attended the forum’s plenary session and the opening of Kazakhstan’s International Center for Artificial Intelligence, where they engaged with worldwide figures in technology and investment. These experiences broadened their perspective on the country’s innovation landscape and reinforced their commitment to advancing the project.

Looking ahead, Beelieve is preparing for a pilot launch with apiaries in the Akmola and Almaty regions. The team is now working under the direct mentorship of Kazakhstan’s former Minister of Digital Development and collaborating with the National Beekeepers’ Union to present Beelieve at the National Beekeepers’ Congress in 2026.

Samsung Electronics Vietnam recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of partnership and shared growth with the country. Starting as a TV factory in 1995, the company has expanded into one of Vietnam’s largest and most influential technology enterprises, contributing to national development and improvements in everyday life.

From its first manufacturing facility to today’s six modern plants and nationwide offices, Samsung has played a key role in Vietnam’s economic transformation. Its investments have driven exports, created employment and strengthened the country’s position in global supply chains. A major milestone came in 2022 with the opening of Southeast Asia’s largest R&D Center in Hanoi, underscoring the company’s long-term commitment to fostering local technology talent.

By the end of 2024, Samsung’s total investment in Vietnam reached $23.2 billion, establishing it as the country’s largest foreign investor. From seamlessly connected Galaxy mobile devices to Vision AI TVs that deliver exceptional entertainment experiences and Bespoke AI home appliances that personalize living spaces, the company is constantly innovating to deliver smart, cutting-edge and sustainable technology solutions.

Vietnam now serves as both a global production hub and a strategic center for research and innovation within the Samsung network, with Vietnamese engineers directly leading many key projects. More than 2.35 billion Galaxy products have been shipped from Vietnam to markets worldwide, with the country’s operations also serving as a gateway to expand AI-integrated products and solutions to markets in Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Samsung’s commitment extends beyond business growth to education, talent development and environmental initiatives. Under its global CSR vision “Together for Tomorrow, Enabling People,” Samsung has implemented programs such as Samsung Solve for Tomorrow and Samsung Innovation Campus in the country, equipping young Vietnamese with STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) skills and creative problem-solving abilities.

Environmentally, the company pursues carbon neutrality, renewable energy use and emission reduction throughout its value chain, contributing to Vietnam’s sustainability goals. At the same time, Samsung continues to accompany Vietnam in the digital transformation process, cooperating with the government and local partners to promote technological innovation, develop high-quality human resources and support the domestic business ecosystem.

To commemorate this 30-year milestone, Samsung Vietnam is launching nationwide consumer appreciation programs, community activities and exclusive promotions. These include significant discounts on Galaxy devices, TVs and home appliances, along with special sales events in major cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Through these initiatives, Samsung is reaffirming its dedication to innovating with and for Vietnam, while helping build a smarter and more sustainable future together.

Samsung Electronics has been recognized with multiple national awards in Brazil, reaffirming its position as one of the country’s most admired and trusted brands. The company was one of the major winners of Folha Top of Mind from Folha de São Paulo, Estadão Marcas Mais from O Estado de S. Paulo and the Top Educação Award from Revista Educação — highlighting its strong reputation for innovation, quality and commitment to Brazilian consumers.

In the Folha Top of Mind 2025 survey, conducted by the Datafolha Institute, Samsung retained first place in three major categories: “TV Set,” “Computer and Notebook” and “Smartphone and Tablet.” The company achieved its highest-ever recall rate for TVs, with 43% of spontaneous mentions, underscoring its leadership in the television market. In computers and notebooks, Samsung scored 29%, marking its best performance since the segment was introduced in 2020. For smartphones and tablets, the brand maintained its undefeated streak for the eleventh consecutive year, mentioned by 43% of respondents. Recognition was particularly high among younger audiences aged 16 to 34, where recall reached up to 52%.

Samsung’s leadership was further reinforced at Estadão’s Marcas Mais 2025 awards. The company took the top spots in the “Cell Phones” and “Notebook & Computers” categories, based on the brand’s strong emotional connection with Brazilian consumers and consistent strategy that prioritizes design, innovation and performance across its product portfolio.

Samsung also earned the Top Educação Award from Revista Educação, in the “Computer, Tablet and Notebook Manufacturers” category. This accolade acknowledges organizations that contribute to educational progress and digital transformation in Brazil, underscoring the company’s ongoing efforts to deliver B2B technology solutions that empower institutions to innovate and enhance digital learning experiences nationwide.

In the gaming sector, the Odyssey Cup 2025 eSports campaign won two honors at MMA Smarties Brasil 2025 — gold in “Gaming, Gamification and E-sports” and silver in “Consumer Journey Marketing – Lead Generation/CRM.” In addition, Samsung’s immersive booth at Brasil Game Show 2025 was recognized by IGN Brasil as the best attraction of the event for offering an engaging gaming experience with its full product lineup.

Samsung Electronics Czech Republic recently collaborated with the Czech audiovisual art group Pulsovat Kolektiv to present “Digital Cave,” an interactive installation that merged physical space, digital interaction and AI. The exhibit was unveiled at Maker Faire Brno on October 18 and 19, offering visitors an opportunity to explore creativity through AI and Samsung’s The Frame TVs.

The installation featured six Samsung The Frame televisions mounted on a white wall, a real-time camera, a control computer using the TouchDesigner AI platform and three customized controllers. These components worked together to generate dynamic digital artworks based on visitors’ inputs and movements. Each participant’s image was captured and reinterpreted by generative AI, appearing as a visually altered projection across the connected screens.

Three interactive stations allowed participants to guide the creative process. At the first, visitors could type descriptive prompts — such as “Create an impressionistic painting.” The second enabled camera zoom and angle adjustments, while the third offered control over artistic parameters like realism and AI distortion. This combination of tools transformed each visitor’s motion and imagination into a one-of-a-kind digital artwork, blurring the lines between creator and observer.

The Frame played a key role in realizing the concept. With their matte screens and art-display capabilities, they provided highly accurate image reproduction, even in the well-lit conditions. The six-screen configuration amplified the immersive quality of the experience, creating a large-scale, gallery-like projection wall that showcased how AI can redefine traditional artistic expression.

Beyond the exhibition, The Frame continues to enable people to build their own personal galleries at home — from displaying personal photos to accessing over 4,000 artworks through Samsung Art Store. The store’s library features curated masterpieces from renowned institutions such as the Musée d’Orsay, The Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Gallery in Prague.

The Samsung Galaxy brand has once again been named number one in Belgium in the Kantar BrandZ ranking. This marks the third consecutive year that Samsung Electronics has received this recognition, reaffirming its position as the most valuable and significant player in all measured categories — across fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), retail and technology.

The Kantar BrandZ ranking is compiled annually based on a large-scale consumer survey conducted by an independent party, with thousands of consumer opinions collected and analyzed. According to Kantar, the BrandZ results demonstrate the resilience and adaptability of brands in a rapidly changing market.

A central highlight of the results was Samsung Galaxy’s exceptional performance across the three core pillars of brand value, where its scores exceeded the category average, set at a baseline index of 100. The brand achieved a score of 170 for Significant, indicating a high relevance to consumers’ lives. For Distinctive, it scored 143, showcasing its unique market positioning and memorability. Most impressively, Samsung Galaxy scored 183 for Remarkable, reflecting how easily and frequently the brand comes to mind for consumers.

These results show that Belgian consumers perceive Samsung Galaxy as a remarkably strong brand, largely due to its distinctive look and consistent communication. Samsung not only innovates with its products and services, such as the Galaxy Z series foldables and Galaxy AI, but also stands out with its marketing, using creative media and bold activations to engage the audience.

Samsung’s Trend Radar 2025 report, carried out with research company Toluna, has revealed that Italians increasingly view AI not just as a technological tool but as a companion capable of easing anxiety, discomfort and monotony.

Four in 10 Italians already rely on AI-driven digital tools to organize their lives, with many eager to delegate the chores they find most stressful or inconvenient. Even as adoption grows, however, trust remains a hurdle. The report found that although 40% of Italians would gladly rely on AI if it proved reliable and 25% see it as a potential relief, nearly half of skeptics prefer handling tasks themselves to retain a sense of control.

For AI to be accepted, three elements are seen as critical: ease of use (54%), particularly valued by baby boomers; privacy and personal data protection (49%); and accuracy in understanding user needs (42%). The smartphone is central to this transition: 76% of respondents see it as the most useful device for AI, far ahead of PCs (35%).

With Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung offers a powerful, flexible smartphone designed to seamlessly integrate AI capabilities. The foldable’s wide and versatile screen seamlessly adapts to any situation, while its various AI-powered tools simplify daily tasks and take users’ productivity to new levels. It serves a concrete response to the mobile AI expectations of Italians, who seek devices built on simplicity, precision and innovations that make everyday life easier.

Samsung Electronics Türkiye and the Easy Run running club recently hosted “We RunzZz with Galaxy Watch8” in Caddebostan, Istanbul. The night run invited hundreds of young people to run in their pajamas to promote the importance of sleep.

Beginning at 9:00 p.m., the event also featured various experience zones where attendees had the chance to win surprise gifts and a Galaxy Watch8. As the newest entries to the Galaxy Watch lineup, Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic drew attention with their AI-powered features that adapt to, and enhance, an active lifestyle.

Sleep directly affects physical and mental health, social relationships, and even work performance. Seeking deeper insight into global sleep habits, Samsung carried out one of the largest sleep efficiency studies to date in 2023. It analyzed 716 million nights of sleep behavior from Samsung Health users worldwide and found that although personal interest in sleep health is growing rapidly, the quality of people’s nightly sleep is actually declining. According to Samsung’s research, the average sleep duration worldwide has fallen from 7 hours 3 minutes to 6 hours 59 minutes — dropping below the 7 hours recommended by the National Sleep Foundation.

Quality sleep is also indispensable for consistent exercise, especially for a good running workout. Recognizing its importance, Samsung continues to advance its tools and technologies for better rest — from analyzing sleep patterns to optimizing sleep environments. Building on this, the new Galaxy Watch8 series includes features like Bedtime Guidance and Running Coach, offering users personalized guidance for sleep quality and fitness planning.

Bedtime Guidance, in particular, measures users’ circadian rhythms to recommend the optimal time to go to bed, helping them wake up refreshed and start the day energized. By providing insights on lifestyle factors such as sleep, stress and activity levels, the feature supports a more comprehensive approach to health management.

A new study has revealed that traditional crafts and hobbies are experiencing a major revival across the United Kingdom, as people increasingly look to counterbalance the demands of fast-paced modern living. Activities like baking, gardening and knitting are enjoying renewed popularity, with four in 10 Brits reporting they have either taken up or revisited a hobby within the past year. The research was commissioned by Samsung to mark the launch of its Galaxy Tab S11 series, which comes with the Galaxy AI-powered Drawing Assist feature to enhance and transform sketches.

To celebrate this revival, Samsung sent Hilary and Michael Whitehall, the parents of comedian Jack Whitehall, on an interactive date to an art studio in London. Instead of traditional brushes and canvases, the pair used Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra to create portraits, which were then reimagined in vibrant styles such as illustration, pop art and 3D cartoon, through Samsung Sketch to Image technology. The Whitehalls praised the innovation for making drawing more accessible and enjoyable, especially for those with limited artistic skills.

On a wider scale, technology is playing a supportive role in the U.K.’s revival of hobbies. While the movement celebrates “IRL” creation, nearly three-quarters of respondents said they would leverage technology to enhance their artistic endeavors. Galaxy AI now allows budding creatives to sketch an idea and instantly receive artistic assistance, bridging the gap between imagination and reality. In this sense, the movement is blending tradition and innovation, where the tactile satisfaction of working with physical materials is supported, not replaced, by technology.

Embodying this synergy, the Galaxy Tab S11 series delivers the company’s most intelligent and advanced tablet experience yet. The series features Samsung’s thinnest-ever tablet design, a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, and a redesigned S Pen for precision sketching. The tablets have been built for effortless productivity, with Drawing Assist and Sketch to Image providing everyone with the ability to quickly turn their ideas into masterpieces.

In a recent editorial, CU Kim, President and CEO of Samsung Electronics Southeast Asia and Oceania (SEAO), emphasized the importance of empowering the next generation to drive innovation and progress, especially with the advent of generative AI.

According to a United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) report, optimism about AI has reached unprecedented levels, with many respondents expecting it to create opportunities in education, work and healthcare. For Samsung, this underscores the urgent need to bridge the digital divide and ensure everyone has equitable access to both technology and the skills to use it.

In SEAO, young people are already demonstrating AI’s potential to drive meaningful change. Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow (SFT) program exemplifies this approach, encouraging students to apply technology to real-world problems and find viable solutions. Such initiatives align with the UN’s call to embed human agency throughout the AI lifecycle, positioning youth not merely as consumers but as active innovators. Across SEAO, the 2025 edition of SFT has kicked off in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.

Samsung also supports long-term workforce development through Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), offering training in coding, IoT and AI. These efforts are crucial, especially in markets like Indonesia, which requires 9 million digital talent by 2030. Similarly, in Thailand, Samsung’s decade-long partnership with the Office of the Vocational Education Commission through the Dual Vocational Education (DVE) program combines classroom learning with practical training, strengthening both technical and soft skills to prepare students for meaningful employment.

Youth engagement in the region is strong: Samsung’s research shows that nine in ten SEAO youths use AI daily, primarily for learning. This adoption reflects AI’s democratizing role in expanding access to knowledge, with UNDP findings showing high expectations for productivity gains as well.

Ultimately, Kim believes inclusivity must guide the deployment of technology so that it serves as a bridge for all. By collaborating with government agencies, educators, partners, customers and the youth, Samsung aims to create pathways where innovation uplifts communities and ensures that everyone has a role in shaping an AI-enhanced future.

In a recent interview, CU Kim, the President and CEO of Samsung Electronics for Southeast Asia and Oceania (SEAO), outlined the company’s approach to AI in the region.

Samsung’s “AI for All” strategy is focused on democratizing the technology to make it accessible to a wider audience. In fact, 77% of SEAO users of Galaxy AI-powered devices are already using the features. These include Circle to Search with Google, Best Face, and translation tools that are particularly useful in such a linguistically diverse region. Additionally, many Galaxy AI features can function on-device, independently of the cloud — a vital capability when internet connectivity may be limited.

Beyond mobile products, Samsung is integrating AI into its entire device ecosystem via the SmartThings platform, which creates personalized smart home experiences. A recent survey showed that 9 out of 10 youths in Southeast Asia are incorporating AI into their daily lives, with many taking concrete steps to learn related skills in the belief the technology will create new job opportunities. For businesses, Samsung’s growth strategy in the SEAO region is centered on leveraging AI to help them leapfrog legacy systems and build intelligent, efficient and customer-focused environments through SmartThings Pro.

Looking ahead, Samsung is focused on innovations that empower communities — from advancing mobile gaming to creating AI-driven smart living environments through Samsung Health and SmartThings.
