Dindigul Student Finds Her Footing in AI Through Samsung Innovation Campus

Practical training helps Subiksha A connect classroom concepts with real-world problem-solving

The 2026 programme aims to equip 20,000 young people across India with industry-relevant AI skills

When Subiksha A began studying Information Technology at St. Antony’s College of Arts and Sciences for Women in Dindigul, she was drawn to technology. She had studied Python, web development, machine learning and databases, but wondered whether she could keep pace with a field changing so quickly.

She wanted to move beyond theory and understand how emerging technologies could address real problems. She also wanted to become more confident about taking on unfamiliar challenges.

Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) helped her connect classroom learning with practical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Structured lessons and assignments encouraged her to experiment, learn from mistakes and approach technical problems with greater confidence.

Samsung Innovation Campus is Samsung’s global education programme that equips young people with advanced technology skills through structured learning and practical training. In 2026, it aims to train 20,000 youth across India in AI, supporting the country’s Digital India and Skill India ambitions.

“Samsung Innovation Campus has had a significant impact on both my personal and professional growth. More than teaching me technical concepts, it changed the way I approach learning and problem-solving,” Subiksha says.

Balancing the programme with college responsibilities helped her build discipline, consistency and time-management skills—habits she believes will matter as she prepares to enter the workforce.

Subiksha hopes to keep learning about AI and contribute to solutions that make a positive difference. The experience has changed how she views setbacks: a difficult concept is no longer a reason to doubt herself, but a prompt to try, ask questions and improve.

Her experience reflects the value of practical technology education for young women as AI skills become increasingly relevant across industries. Hands-on learning can help students see a place for themselves in fields that may once have seemed out of reach.

“To every young girl who dreams of building a career in technology, I would say: never underestimate your potential. You do not need to have all the answers before you begin.”

For Subiksha, confidence has grown alongside her skills. Her journey in AI is just beginning, but she now sees herself as someone who can contribute to the technology shaping the future.
