From Learning AI to Building with AI: Sunidhishree’s Journey with Samsung Innovation Campus

For Sunidhishree Prabakaran, Artificial Intelligence was more than a subject to study—it was a field full of possibilities.

A final-year Computer Engineering student at D. Y. Patil’s Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Sunidhishree entered Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) with a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and emerging technologies. She had already begun exploring technology through academic projects and research, often taking the lead in her teams.

But she wanted to go beyond knowing how technology worked. She wanted to learn how to use it to solve problems that matter.

That is where her journey with Samsung Innovation Campus began.

Turning curiosity into capability

Through the Artificial Intelligence course at Samsung Innovation Campus, Sunidhishree gained structured exposure to AI concepts, data analysis and problem-solving. The combination of expert guidance, assignments and hands-on learning helped her connect what she learned in the classroom with real-world applications.

For her, one of the biggest takeaways was not just technical knowledge, but the confidence to experiment, present ideas and approach problems differently.

“Samsung Innovation Campus gave me practical exposure to AI and helped me apply theoretical concepts to real-world applications. The program strengthened my confidence and motivated me to keep learning and innovating,” said Sunidhishree.

That confidence soon found its way into her academic and research work.

From ideas to innovation

After completing SIC in 2026, Sunidhishree began applying her AI knowledge across a range of projects addressing challenges in healthcare, agriculture and clinical research.

She presented “AI Powered Medical Reporting and Clinical Dashboard” at the 2nd International Conference on AI-driven Human-Centric Solutions and Sustainable Transformation (AI-HCSST 2026).

Her interest in using AI to make technology more accessible also led to “Leaflens: AI-Integrated Plant Disease Detection and Personalized Care Through a Multilingual Chatbot,” which she presented at the International Conference on Advancing Technology in Engineering and Science (ICATES-2025). The project has also progressed to the copyright application stage.

Another project, “Smart Recruit: Digital Twins for Clinical Trials,” was presented at the International Conference on Communication, Computing and Data Security (ICCCDS-2026).

Each project represented a different application of AI. Together, they reflected something more significant—a student increasingly confident in taking technology from an idea on paper to a solution with real-world potential.

Sunidhishree also participated in the several Hackathons, putting her problem-solving and technical skills to the test in a competitive environment.

Building confidence for the world beyond college

The impact of Samsung Innovation Campus extended beyond projects and presentations.

As Sunidhishree prepared to make the transition from college to the workplace, the technical foundation and confidence she developed through SIC helped her during the placement process. She secured a placement opportunit, marking an important milestone in her professional journey.

The experience also encouraged her to continue learning. With an interest in strengthening her industry readiness, she began exploring SAP technologies alongside her AI skill set.

“SIC was not simply a course I completed. It became a stepping stone—from being interested in AI to confidently building with it, presenting my ideas and preparing myself for the opportunities ahead,” she said.

The journey continues

Today, Sunidhishree looks at AI not just as a technology, but as a tool to create meaningful solutions.

Her journey—from a student curious about emerging technologies to a young innovator presenting AI-based solutions at international conferences and stepping into the professional world—reflects the power of giving young people the right skills, exposure and confidence at the right time.

And for Sunidhishree, this is only the beginning.

She started with a curiosity to understand AI. Samsung Innovation Campus helped her turn that curiosity into the confidence to create.
