In today’s hyper connected environment, security is never an afterthought for Samsung

In the era of hyper-connectivity fuelled by 5G, IoT, and AI, technology empowers everyday users with computational capabilities at their fingertips.

Smartphones today go beyond breaking barriers of communication, it has also created an “always-on” culture. We’re constantly on our phones – whether for work or play. However, this has also resulted in more opportunities for security incidents, be it breaches, scams or unauthorised access to data on your phones.

Security is part of Samsung’s DNA, and with every Galaxy device*Samsung Knox is working hard at the backend to keep you safe.

From chipset up, Samsung Knox ensures that your confidential and sensitive data stays safe.

What is Samsung Knox?

Samsung Knox provides a multi-layered, end-to-end security solution that secures Galaxy devices from digital threats on all fronts. Think of it as a shield against external risks – Knox is able to defend against threats from all fronts, so that users can use their Galaxy devices with a peace of mind.

It is Samsung’s commitment to mobile device security, and a defence-grade security platform designed to protect users’ data from the most advanced of security threats.

And for businesses that choose to deploy Galaxy devices, they can opt for an expanded suite of Samsung Knox solutions which include cloud-based solutions for IT teams to configure, customise, deploy, analyse and manage their device fleet to meet specific business needs.

Introducing “The Knox Journals”

As we take an open approach with Galaxy, we want our users to be able to personalise their mobile experiences to best suit their daily needs. However, there are many “best kept” security features found on our Galaxy devices that many might find useful.

Hence, we’re starting a series – The Knox Journals – to introduce the features users can access to better protect their data.

As a start, do evaluate your device security and privacy settings via our Security & Privacy Dashboard to check if any data may be at risk, and where you can quickly and easily change your settings to manage potential threats.

Security & Privacy Dashboard is available for Galaxy users via Settings > Security and  Privacy

Be sure to check back on our News Centre to stay updated on our latest features for our efforts and innovation to protect the experience for our Galaxy users.
