Polish Runners Tackle Death Valley With Galaxy Watch Ultra
Poland on April 13, 2026

The Swords Athletics became the first Polish running team to participate in The Speed Project relay race, completing the demanding route from Los Angeles to Las Vegas through Death Valley, while equipped with Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy devices. Covering approximately 547 kilometers, the race pushes runners to their limits — with extreme desert temperatures, sleep deprivation and unpredictable terrain — making it one of the most grueling endurance events in the world.

Throughout the race, the six-member team utilized Galaxy Watch Ultra, which tracked key health metrics such as heart rate, pace in real time, even under extreme fatigue. Complementing these functions, Galaxy Ring monitored recovery between running shifts, helping athletes manage their physical condition more effectively. At the same time, team communication and navigation were powered by Galaxy S26 Ultra and Galaxy Buds4 Pro. This suite of devices ensured seamless coordination across the team despite the harsh, remote desert environment. Reliable GPS functionality and real-time data tracking helped runners stay on course while monitoring their physical condition throughout the race.

The event was also documented using Samsung’s mobile devices. Accompanying creators captured photos and videos using advanced camera features on Galaxy S26 Ultra, with Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra supporting route planning and live content production for social media.
By supporting endurance athletes in one of the toughest races in the world, Samsung reinforced its commitment to delivering reliable performance, health insights and creative tools, even in the most challenging environments.
