Samsung Launches Competition Searching for Oldest TVs in Use in the Nordics
Sweden on April 7, 2026

Samsung Electronics has launched a competition across Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland — celebrating more than 50 years of television innovation and its 20 consecutive years as the world’s leading TV brand. The campaign invites consumers to submit photos of their oldest Samsung TVs still in use, highlighting the enduring role of television in everyday life while showcasing the brand’s technological evolution.
Two winners will be selected, with one being awarded based on owning the oldest Samsung TV still in operation, and the other being randomly selected from all entries. Each winner will receive one of Samsung’s latest TV models, including a 65-inch Micro RGB (R95H model).
Bringing attention to long-lasting Samsung TVs across households in the Nordics, the initiative focuses on customer experiences rather than Samsung itself. In doing so, the company aims to highlight both product durability and the emotional connection people have developed with their televisions over generations.
Through this campaign, Samsung is reinforcing its legacy in the TV industry while reflecting on the evolution of TV technology from early models to innovative models like Micro RGB. Television technology continues to evolve to combine performance with aesthetic appeal, delivering enhanced picture quality while seamlessly integrating into home environments. As it moves its legacy forward, Samsung is ensuring that TVs remain a central part of home entertainment and daily life.
