Samsung Marks 30 Years in India With a New Human-Centric Vision
India on December 11, 2025

Samsung Electronics India marked its 30th anniversary by introducing a renewed strategic vision — #PoweringInnovationForIndia — which places human-centric design, local talent and India-led product development at the core of its future growth. The company emphasized its role as a long-term partner in India’s digital transformation and manufacturing ecosystem, highlighting how innovations have powered Samsung’s global product portfolio — spanning Galaxy AI, Bespoke AI and Vision AI.
Over the last three decades, Samsung has built significant local capabilities through large-scale manufacturing facilities in Noida and Chennai, three R&D centers and a design hub in Delhi. The teams have shaped experiences tailored to Indian cultural and lifestyle needs, including child-friendly TV content and expressive color, material and finish (CMF) designs for the Galaxy M and Galaxy F series.
India-based R&D teams continue to advance Samsung’s global roadmap in AI, accessibility, streaming, digital displays, language intelligence and next-generation networks. The company has also become one of India’s leading private-sector patent contributors, with more than 14,000 patents filed.

Beyond its product portfolio, Samsung’s vision extends to strengthening collaborations with universities and local startups to nurture India’s next generation of innovators. Programs such as Samsung Solve for Tomorrow, Samsung Innovation Campus and Samsung DOST equip students with AI, IoT and other digital skills. To date, the company’s CSR programs have reached about 1.5 million people across the country, supporting education, sustainability and digital inclusion.

Samsung’s long-standing role in India has expanded into a nationwide footprint encompassing advanced manufacturing, extensive retail and service networks and a diverse workforce. With over 3,000 authorized service centers and 12,000 service engineers, the company supports customers across urban and rural regions. Additionally, the company has further broadened its retail presence through flagship experiences such as Samsung BKC in Mumbai and the Business Experience Studios in Mumbai and Gurugram.
As Samsung enters its next phase in India, it aims to build advanced technologies that will drive a connected future. With Samsung’s AI-powered ecosystem, strong talent and deep local partnerships, the company will continue to shape India’s innovation-led growth and contribute to global technology leadership.
