Samsung Vietnam Marks 30 Years of Innovation, Collaboration and Sustainability
Vietnam on November 10, 2025

Samsung Electronics Vietnam recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of partnership and shared growth with the country. Starting as a TV factory in 1995, the company has expanded into one of Vietnam’s largest and most influential technology enterprises, contributing to national development and improvements in everyday life.
From its first manufacturing facility to today’s six modern plants and nationwide offices, Samsung has played a key role in Vietnam’s economic transformation. Its investments have driven exports, created employment and strengthened the country’s position in global supply chains. A major milestone came in 2022 with the opening of Southeast Asia’s largest R&D Center in Hanoi, underscoring the company’s long-term commitment to fostering local technology talent.
By the end of 2024, Samsung’s total investment in Vietnam reached $23.2 billion, establishing it as the country’s largest foreign investor. From seamlessly connected Galaxy mobile devices to Vision AI TVs that deliver exceptional entertainment experiences and Bespoke AI home appliances that personalize living spaces, the company is constantly innovating to deliver smart, cutting-edge and sustainable technology solutions.

Vietnam now serves as both a global production hub and a strategic center for research and innovation within the Samsung network, with Vietnamese engineers directly leading many key projects. More than 2.35 billion Galaxy products have been shipped from Vietnam to markets worldwide, with the country’s operations also serving as a gateway to expand AI-integrated products and solutions to markets in Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Samsung’s commitment extends beyond business growth to education, talent development and environmental initiatives. Under its global CSR vision “Together for Tomorrow, Enabling People,” Samsung has implemented programs such as Samsung Solve for Tomorrow and Samsung Innovation Campus in the country, equipping young Vietnamese with STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) skills and creative problem-solving abilities.

Environmentally, the company pursues carbon neutrality, renewable energy use and emission reduction throughout its value chain, contributing to Vietnam’s sustainability goals. At the same time, Samsung continues to accompany Vietnam in the digital transformation process, cooperating with the government and local partners to promote technological innovation, develop high-quality human resources and support the domestic business ecosystem.
To commemorate this 30-year milestone, Samsung Vietnam is launching nationwide consumer appreciation programs, community activities and exclusive promotions. These include significant discounts on Galaxy devices, TVs and home appliances, along with special sales events in major cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Through these initiatives, Samsung is reaffirming its dedication to innovating with and for Vietnam, while helping build a smarter and more sustainable future together.
