Samsung Electronics Indonesia has partnered with Balinese mural artist and illustrator Yessi Nur Mulianawati, known as Yessiow, to unveil the Nusantara x Hangul Galaxy Wrap, celebrating the cultures of Indonesia and South Korea. Designed for the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy S24 FE, the wrap features vibrant culinary and travel-inspired designs, blending Indonesian and Korean cultural elements. The special edition Galaxy Wrap is available for free with purchases of the Galaxy Z Fold6, the Z Flip6, the Galaxy S24 series or the Galaxy S24 FE at selected Samsung stores in Indonesia.

[Sweden] Survey: Over 40% of Young Swedes Faced Cyberattacks in the Past Year

A survey by Samsung Electronics and Norstat found that 43% of Swedes aged 18-35 experienced cyberattacks, including phishing attempts, fraud, data breaches and password theft, in the past year. Men, middle-income earners and residents of southern Sweden were the most affected. Despite recognizing digital security as important (95%), nearly 1 in 4 respondents said they had shared personal information or ordered a product or service online, even when the recipient of their information seemed suspicious. Additionally, 57% of respondents said they are positive about using AI tools to enhance digital security.

[Kazakhstan] Kazakh Students’ Innovation Earns Samsung Grant and Place in Red Bull Basement Finals

Led by Kanat Tazhikhan, high school students from Taraz, Kazakhstan, developed “Umit,” a prototype prosthetic that enables paralyzed individuals to control wheelchairs and devices using tongue movements. The project, created for the local edition of Samsung Electronics’ Solve for Tomorrow 2024 competition, earned third place and a grant of 1 million tenge (approx. $2,000). The team went on to win the regional Red Bull Basement competition, securing a spot in the global finals.
